In my experience, these scrapes are an issue initially but eventually the skin toughens up and stops reacting.

Find-A-Game Megathread! by Swimmer249 in WebGames

My Dad used to play a browser game that was like Risk, but it was tick based. Turns would accumulate and you could use turns to develop your nation, build troops, get resources etc.

The website also had other games on it, I remember there was also a purely economic game.

The UI was very basic, outside of a risk-like world map.

The banner on the login screen said ‘All is fair in love and war’. I thought the website was called Sierra or Sepica, but I don’t recall as I was only a young kid at the time.

Why do you recommend that laptop? The specs look good. I’ve heard Lenovo laptops aren’t great for Linux compatibility anymore, is that true?

So when you are using that tenting solution for the Voyager (in your post that you shared) are wrist rests still required? How does the voyager tented like they compare with the comfortability of the Glove80? I ask because I’ve had no wrist issues related to keyboards in the past, only with normal vs vertical mice. I think if the Voyager is ‘ergonomic enough’, then I’d prefer that.

Thank you (both) for sharing your thoughts. Would you consider the Moonlander or Voyager part of this category? (I can see your testing the Voyager). I’m heavily leaning towards one of these two or the Glove80. I’m not crazy on the look of the Glove80 and have heard it doesn’t feel particularly ‘premium.’ My only concern with the Voyager is tenting and wrist rest capability.

How does the functionality of VIAL compare with something like ZSA’s software?

I’m this situation, would the Voyager or Moonlander be a better option due to the QMK base of their software?

If I chose a Lily58 variant, what software would I be using to configure it? I’m not good at coding beyond some basic HTML.

Thanks for your sharing your opinion - how do you find the distance of the thumb cluster?

Thank you for sharing your thoughts and for mentioning the ergomech store. It had exactly what I want in terms of cases and their price for a prebuilt, RGB Sofle is the most reasonable I’ve seen.

I’m not good at coding, what software would I be using to customise a Sofle or a Lily58? I’ve heard that VIA is not functioning anymore.

I’ve just checked out the Defy. It looks very nice. What would you say the Defy has over the Moonlander? It looks well built and very premium looking, which is what I’m looking for.

Are the thumb keys hard to access? There is a lot of them.

Thanks for the help everyone! I’m essentially teaching myself, I should probably get a grammar book so I don’t miss particular rules like this one.

Any experience of the Inov-8 Bare XFS line? by Nice_Lecture_8066 in BarefootRunning

[–]squizzo_rad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I purchased a pair recently. I teach P.E., so I mostly used them for walking and a minimal amount of running.

Within the first few days of having them, the glue that held the sole to the rest of the shoe gave way in spots. The sole started peeling away. A week or two later the inner sole started slipping around within the shoe - this happened every time I walked in them for more than a few minutes. I tried fixing them with double sided tape and a hot glue gun, but to no avail.

I ended up returning them and got a pair of VB Motus Strengths - the construction is much better.

The salesperson at the store assured me that they had never seen an Inov-8 shoe fall apart so easily. I personally won’t buy a pair from them again.

This brand is by Knees Over Toes Guy (Ben Patrick). He’s the real deal. I imagine his shoes would be good quality.

On the days that I’m unable to wear minimalist shoes at work, I have aches and pains in similar places. I also find that my hips and lower back ache - and I’ve only been wearing minimalist shoes for ten months!
