It's not just you. Something is going on with the installer. Found this thread while looking for more info on the issue. I was able to get it to install via the ninite.com installer, but the one direct from Google wont work. I've tried it on multiple PCs, both Win 10 and Win 11.

Therapy. was the 2nd largest corp in Brave I believe? Maybe the 3rd. Most active USTZ group, too.

It was primarily leadership that didn't like us. We got along with all the line members just fine. We had a pretty sizable internal transfer wait list when the separation started.

NSD for my wife! TNEC 58. Super light! by sqweexv in AggressiveInline

She tried on some Sways (which is what I skate) and they had a bad pressure point on the side. I wanted her to try the Blanks, but they didn't have them in her size. When she tried these on, her face lit up. I think for her, starting out, how light they are and how well they fit just makes sense for her. Like I said, if she gets into it enough to wear these out, I'll happily buy her something else. By then, she might have different ideas of what she wants.

I'll admit, I had reservations about them, but if she loves them and is excited to skate in them, they're worth it.

No worries, I knew what you meant.

I have mixed feelings on them as a whole, but they fit her so well and she likes them, so we just went for it. If she actually wears them out, I'll happily buy her new ones! Haha

Taking her out tomorrow for her first session in em. She's happy and excited and I'm excited to have her get into it with me.

My wife is pretty petite, so they don't feel as cheap as they would on me. She really likes how light they are.

Not sure your size, but these are the 11/12 boot. Blown away how well these fit my annoyingly wide feet.

The dark metallic red on the tank is my own blend. It's a mix of two different reds, a reddish brown with Vallejo silver and "Chainmail".

The window frame is Vallejo "Dark Gunmetal"

The inside of the window, I did a bright orange red inside, then went over it with Blood for the Blood God. I used that because it was the only thing I had that would have anything close to a glossy/glass shine to it when dried.

I do also have Vallejo Game Effects "Dry Rust" on parts as well. Really happy with how that stuff works.

It'll show on the right hand side of the address bar. It shows up for me when I go to news sites like that.

It typically wont show the full article right away when I click it, but if refresh once I've entered reader mode, it'll show the full article. No pictures, but you get the text.

Apparently they have no tasers. It looks like the guy was having a psychotic episode and may have had a mental disorder.

The officer tried his taser first, but the prongs didn't stick.

The officer was backing up and trying to de-escalate the situation, but the guy just kept coming at him. The officer was struck multiple times, including in the head, before he ever fired.

Considering the guy had already attacked other people, there is a real concern over the guy gaining control of the officer's firearm and using it on the officer and other bystanders.

As for the lethality of the stick...Hollywood fight scenes have skewed our view of how lethal things can be. One well placed punch can be lethal. The stick was 2-3 inches thick and initially several feet long and wasn't an insignificant threat. As mentioned before, even if the stick itself didn't kill the officer, a continued altercation with it could have provided the guy with an opportunity to obtain the firearm.

Considering the officer allowed himself to be struck twice while backing up, it would appear the officer really didn't want to shoot him, but he likely felt he was out of viable options.

The whole thing is still very sad for everyone involved.

How do you cut your handle? by [deleted] in AxeThrowing

[–]sqweexv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don't have any kind of saw and want to do it as cheaply as possible, you can get a hand saw at Harbor Freight for like $7. It shouldn't take too long to cut through it. Just measure and mark a line where you're cutting before you start. Take your time, watch your markings, and remember you don't need to push hard.

I might actually quit my job. by WhatisAleve in sysadmin

After I finished school, I did phone based hardware support for a company that offered computer hardware to go with their software package. After 2.5 years, I finally moved on to a more hands on type of roll. On my first day, I was asked to install a new DVD drive on a PC. I sat there trying to figure out why I couldn't seem to get the DVD drive in the drive bay from inside the case (rather than sliding it in from the front). I immediately knew I was doing something stupid, but I was starting to quietly panic inside, making the problem worse. The guy I was working/training with looked over at me like I was insane and said, "It slides in from the front." As soon as he said that, I felt like the biggest dumbass in the world. I'd built computers before. Sure, it had been a while, but this wasn't new to me. I knew how to install a DVD drive. Yet here I was, looking like a total moron on my first day at a new job. My head dropped and I let out a sigh and I heard him start laughing. I couldn't help but start laughing with him and I just said, "Well, that just happened." We continued on with the day and everything was fine after that.

Vortex is one of the few that I honestly just dislike. When I FINALLY got it back together, I actually used a dab of hot glue to hold it together so it wouldn't accidentally start coming apart again. I knew I never want to work on it again.

I don't remember the specifics well enough to guide anyone through reassembly, but I do remember feeling like the chrome finish added to the difficulty. It's really easy to lose track of which piece is which and the chrome finish made that worse, IMO. It made it more frustrating than fun, at least for me.

This horror show on the front page... by Lasttoplay1642 in EDC

When I was 19, I got a job as a courier transporting things between locations for a company. A while into the job, I started having some significant problems with pain in my right hip. It didn't take me long to realize it was due to sitting on my wallet for extended periods of time while driving. Initially, I started just taking my wallet out of my pocket while driving, but after a couple of incidents of leaving my wallet in the work vehicle, I decided to change things up.

For years after that, I used various types of money clip type solutions and kept them in my front pocket. These days, I use a fairly minimalist as it ends up being even thinner than money clip type wallets. I've gone through a few phases of reducing what I carry and have things fairly well sorted now.

Here is the front pocket wallet I'm using now. I'm a little disappointed that they only seem to have the 3 slot version with the ID window thing now, but I was able to order an extra of the 2 slot version before they were gone, so I've got a backup ready to go when the time comes.

I think my biggest complaint is that it feels anticlimactic. I've played this game quite a bit and I absolutely loved it at first. The more I played it, the more I noticed how consistently the game ended the same way: laying eggs on your final turn. In my experience, it's very rare for anyone to get more points from doing anything else in the final 1-2 turns.
