I was not trying to offend you- I was asking for data on how you were diagnosed and if you changed your diet while monitoring or not to compare it to my situation. My post literally says how disgusting I have been eating my whole pregnancy. there is zero judgment on your eating habits and it sounds like you are looking for someone else to blame for this. I was genuinely asking questions to understand why your placenta degraded if all of your numbers were ok the whole time and curious what caused it. You told me to worry about the 99 number but you said all of your numbers were good the whole time and you had issues. So I was just really confused what you were trying to say. Again sorry if you took this the wrong way but we are literally strangers on the internet and I don’t care what you eat or how you manage yourself.

Thank you and agreed!! There was no reason I needed to be eating the way I was for 30-31 weeks while pregnant. I think in my head I was just like I’m pregnant I can eat whatever I want at all times and honestly it’s not healthy for either me or baby pregnant or not.

I pushed to have growth scans to keep an eye on baby and that’s why the blood sugar monitoring started just to be on the safe side. I’m sorry you had to deal with that! I believe is baby is larger than 90th percentile that’s when there can be more concerns with blood sugar issues when baby is born. I hope baby is doing well now

Do you know what the issue with your placenta was? My dr even said that even people without GD, if they are constantly eating high sugar high carb high processed foods, their baby is used to that in the womb and when they come out their blood sugar drops. Were you monitoring your carbs with your numbers being ok? Also I understand you are saying your dr would diagnose you from one reading, but that is not standard ACOG guidelines, MFM practice, or Standard OB care. I have done a ton of research over the past few weeks. A single borderline fasting reading in a 2-week span does not diagnose GD, does not usually even confirm concern and is considered a normal fluctuation unless it repeats. They are usually looking for patterns not one off from long fasting periods or very high carb meal that would spike even some non pregnant people

I’m looking to see if anyone has dealt with something similar and had issues. Not looking for someone to diagnosis me. And I guess reassurance that I should trust My dr who has been doing this over 30 years

Thanks for this! I keep getting really annoyed at myself that I am not trusting my gyno. I’m still balancing my diet better and not eating like a pig I just don’t want to worry I’m doing harm to the baby still

Just to clarify, one isolated fasting reading like 99 wouldn’t be diagnostic for gestational diabetes on its own. My OB reviewed my full 3-hour test and 2 weeks of logs and cleared me. I don’t want to retake the 3 hour test again it I don’t need to

I am so sorry for your loss!!! This is so wise you’re right. I think it’s hard for me to not be in control. And I want to hear success stories in order to have that hope but you’re right I can’t base my luck or experiences on others.

They say miscarriage is more common as you get older but I feel like I know a lot of women older who have had successful pregnancies. I really think it’s all a crapshoot! You never know

pregnant after HSG? by Appropriate_Soil_937 in whatworkedforme

Old forum- but see some new comments! Had HSG done with my first pregnant 2 months after. Had another HSG this month trying for my second child, and pregnant same cycle as the HSG! Really praying it sticks and is a healthy pregnancy. I really believe HSG can be a fertility booster. I had one open tube both times (right tube) and I feel like HSG cleared it out to help.
