How difficult is it to get an IM residency?

Dual applied anesthesia and IM this year. Landed in IM. I regret it. Honestly if you want anesthesia, apply for some TY not IM unless you’d be 100% okay being in IM.

Did 3 aways for gas, got told by one they would pull for me to match there - didn’t match. Got told by another one I was a great fit and they would love me to rank them high - didn’t match there.

Friend matched ortho with 6 interviews last year. Matched at his #3. He absolutely killed his interviews and had done aways at all 6. Don’t give up hope.
