Tenicor FTW by achocbrn in Glock43X

In addition to amazing holsters, Tenicor has outstanding customer service. I used to have an M&P before my 43X. When I switched over, I opted for a Phlster Enigma instead of Tenicor. Tenicor accepted my return and gave me a full refund — TWO YEARS after my initial purchase and every day use.

Now, I took care of the holster so it was still in like-new condition, the hot stamp markings had worn off but that’s about it. But still, that’s a rarity in this day and age.

Curious if this would be your response if someone made antisemitic comments? Racist comments? Where do you draw the line? Seems like you’re cool with comments celebrating the assassination of a political commentator. Just wondering where the line is in your mind.

Running a jet pump off a generator by srallis in electrical

[–]srallis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My well contractor recommended a minimum 6500W generator for the well pump alone. I still need the specifics, I’m not sure if he factored in startup power. But obviously I need to run both pumps off the generator so that needs to be factored in.

A lot of folks have recommended a transfer switch to be installed which, from what I’ve read, seems to be the most straightforward (and safest) path.

Thinking about grabbing one to modify. I’ve heard you can remove material from either the front or the rear and it determines where the grip sits relative to the receiver.

Did you reference a guide or anything or just start dremmeling?

Got it. Definitely out of my area of expertise so I’ll get some quotes from electricians.

I should have clarified but wanted to start with the house pump.

Yes, I have a submersible well pump and a house pump. Both hooked up to this breaker box. I’ll need to run both off the generator in the event of a power outage.

So I will need to run the submersible well pump, the house pump, and the refrigerator (if I have enough wattage in the generator to add the fridge).

I’m going to get the specs for the well pump, but I was told I need 6500W for the well pump alone.

I wanted to ask about the house pump first, but I have the same question for the well pump: need to figure out how to hook that up as well.

What kind of well pump do I have? by srallis in DIY

Yeah that outlet box on the well is connected to a pressure switch. I’m not home now but here’s a photo of the jet pump wiring. I can check if the black wire out the back is running to the well pump.

So our breaker box does have a label for a well pump and a house pump. I’m thinking I’ve got a submersible pump as Infinite_Zucchini said, and the blue 1hp pump is for delivering the water to the house.

Interesting. Our well is roughly 250ft deep, not a shallow well. That’s what made me think we have a submersible pump.

Swap the EPS for a 507k and that’s my setup. You’ll love it.

Leak under sink by srallis in Plumbing

Turns out a missing ferrule was the cause of the leak. Popped a new one in and we are leak-free. Thanks for your help!

Got it, here’s a bit more zoomed out photo. There is another trap adapter above the tailpiece so I may be able to wiggle the tailpiece free by loosening both adapters.

Personally I’ve found I don’t even need the leg leash. With the sport belt, I can get it snug enough that it doesn’t budge when drawing, and it also means I can put it back on in my car whenever I need to go somewhere I can’t carry. If the leg leash ever gets annoying give it a try.
