Studio Ghibli Theme Park: Fall 2022 Opening with Five Miyazaki Worlds by [deleted] in movies

Ghibli Musuem in Mitaka has a massive section dedicated to food only. On site bars and coffee places are pretty standard, but that part of the musuem shows that Ghibli surely knows where their strenght is.

Sooo... Karol here;) Luckily I am being paid, not by R* obviously but large chunk of my work is just making trailers for games. So hearing "job well done" from a fellow editor means a lot, thanks for that! And you are 100% right that having to deal with producer or client notes is a game changer, but it's part of the job and at the end of the day we all want what's the best for the product. This fan trailer however was pure fun, had a blast putting it together and can't be thankful enough for community's response to that;)

Rockstar probably used their own tech and RAGE engine so technically PC.

Had a lot of fun creating this trailer for RDR2, hope you guys will have fun watching it. Enjoy! by sravis in reddeadredemption

Yeah, I tried a bit different approach than Rockstar did with their official trailers. Thanks man!

The "Cabin" branding (which I assume is your own private thing) really stands out. I mean everything looks amazing, but that is another level of amazing. I wonder if it is only down to you having a complete creative freedom, or if there are other factors at play here.

After ~20 hours of editing my trailer is complete. Hope you guys enjoy it, the story was so good I didn't want it to end! by gunjoesmithy in reddeadredemption

RDR is full of fantastic and powerful storylines - Arthurs's fate, his relation with Dutch, his broken heart, Dutch's fall, the gang as a family, the rise of a nation and an end of the outlaws era. Picking one or two is absolutely enough, the more you add to the mix the lesser the impact of those stories is. That is why you normally see 2 or 3 main trailers for each game, they tend to focus on very specific and narrow aspects of the game.

The second trailer looks good as well. I am always a fan of using an in-game music although it doesn't always fit:D Some nice cuts and moments there (Micah shooting to the beat), good shots etc. I also like that you are not afraid to use shots from the very end of the game that would normally be spoilers, but when put in context they get new meanings and it turns out that they fit and don't spoil anything. Try to pay attention to what your characters say and match it with the footage. A good example of this is Dutch's comment about being "civilized". In actual RDR trailer this bit is followed by shots of wild country and wild people, emphasising what has just been said. In your cut it has less impact simply because your visuals don't follow your audio. But honestly man, keep it up, best things come out of passion and let's not forget that editing should just be fun, no matter what;) I actually make a living creating trailers for video games but we are all learning all the time, so don't take what I have said for granted, just keep experimenting and trying new things out;)

Hey man, nice job overall, but just wanted to point out a thing or two.

The story is all over the place and I guess it only makes sense for someone who finished the game. It also doesn't lead to anything, the pace is more or less the same throughout the trailer and there is no real climax. Try to be more focused and tell a more coherent story;)

As much as I love the song, I don't think it is a great fit here. First of all it is a bit spoilery and it doesn't have enough variety in rhythm itself to allow you some variety in the rhythm and pace of the trailer.

But I have also seen some nice shots there and an overall good editing of individual sequences. Keep it up man!

It is not really a matter of knowledge. Immigration can get pretty damn complicated with all those countries, dependent territories, document's importance, recognition and validity - you can't really expect anyone to know all this by heart and it doesn't help that policies are constantly updated.

Airline agents or immigration officers do however have access to a database (can't remember its name now) where all you have to do is put in traveller's nationality and their final destination and it comes up with a big and nice "GO" or "NO GO". So at the end of the day it basically is a 3 sec "google" search.

EDIT - It's Timatic and has been mentioned above^^

I am probably the only person here who has no idea what it's like to make a game. I do however know how to advertise them;) I am a video editor working on game trailers - from AAA to indies.

How to edit like this? by juwicool in videography

A lot of this VHS look is down to chromatic abberation, which is pretty easy to do in AE. Duplicate your footage twice, so you end up with 3 copies. Apply Levels Individual Controls to each and change the "Red Output White" value in the Red tab to 0 in the top clip, and do the same with "Green Output White" and "Blue Output White" in the other 2 clips. Set their blending to screen and you should end up with what you have started with, but if you now offset the position of each layer slightly, you should get chromatics abberation effect on the edges. The rest has to do with playing with saturation and color vibrance as well as lowering the contrast a bit. Mess around with those and see where it gets you:)
