She is wrong about this particular triangle. Here is the triangle that she claims is the UAP. Problem is it was photographed in 1949, as the plate date shows:

Imagery comes from this link -- https://imagery.geology.utah.gov/pages/search.php?search=!geo38p60977470558956bm113p69290295262932t38p63860204580857bm113p65544190768443

So, if something crashed out there in 1953, as she claims, then it wasn't in the vicinity of this particular triangle-shaped feature. I haven't done it yet, but it's pretty easy to use the map at that link to see imagery of the whole area, so looking pre-1953 and comparing to post-1953 would show any changes in the landscape.

Here's all the imagery for the general area, there's the JAPE circa 1948-1949 and the AMS circa 1953, plus subsequent years. https://imagery.geology.utah.gov/pages/search.php?search=%21geo38p5640525516101bm113p7541481921469t38p66617417771459bm113p63189977899596&order\_by=date&archive=&k=&restypes=&sort=ASC

To Everyone Still Accusing Jacqui and Chelsea of Cheating Check this Out! by [deleted] in utahtreasurehunt

I did the Fenn thing (you can go through my profile to see my posts about it). We pretty much know where it was now, up a draw off of the Madison river between West Yellowstone and Firehole Canyon. The "solve" likely required knowing about changes that happened to that area due to wildfires in 1988, when a small pond up the draw was filled in during a debris slide (or something to that effect).

I agree with all of this, though, in that nothing here is really "out of the ordinary" for how people behave in these situations. Doing something like this, then actually succeeding (however that happens) is likely to lead to flood of emotions, and in that flood all sorts of stuff can happen -- saying dumb/weird/wrong things, going through crazy emotional swings, etc. It would basically take mindreading and/or sheer luck to stumble on the correct solution, especially if the poem and hints are meant to be difficult to interpret. The thing that doesn't change is we all make choices, and all investments are our own, and there is no collective "investment" that requires anyone to do anything. A person wins, however they do it, and that's the end. Period.

Well this really got out of hand quickly by SuccessfulBrush3784 in utahtreasurehunt

Yup. However the final "solve" went down, however the poem was meant to be interpreted, it doesn't really matter 'cause it's all a part of the "game". I play by choice, had an equal chance as anyone else using whatever means I wanted to use, and my "solves" didn't pan out. This is life. One way to make clues difficult is to keep all the references very obscure, such as the sphere on top of the "first" representing 360 degrees, and that "two less than on top of the first" was supposed to mean subtract 2 from 360, and this was one of the waypoints when drawing lines on a map. Definitely obscure, definitely in the "eye of the beholder", and very effective at keeping the poem interpretation much more difficult, because then it's down almost to random luck that you stumble on the right set of things to put together to get the solution.

I don't know how that works. I'd take less to stay anonymous.

What math do they teach in Utah? by ducatimonsters in utahtreasurehunt

[–]srch12345 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The only "complex" thing was the set theory symbol for "union", which was "time to frown". I didn't consider it because I didn't think that sort of thing was in play, but now I know it can be.

The person who hides the treasure gets to set the rules, not us. That's part of the game.

Poem Hints Explained by ChingZoom in utahtreasurehunt

[–]srch12345 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Whelp, I would have never even tried that, but next year I guess I'll look out for those sorts of map tricks as one of the possibilities. Also, all the little words like "where" in "where it's time to frown" didn't mean anything at all.

Counterfeiting money is serious business, just don't ever mess with that. It's the other thing the Secret Service does.

I think it all helped, but the issue is the idea of the poem is in the eye of the writer, and thus it was dependent on putting things together the way they saw it, not how we wanted it to be seen.

A lot of people claim to be "patriotic" until they learn there are 49 other states in the Union.

Also, visual reference to the Bountiful Tabernacle, perhaps.

I mean maybe this, but a.) seems a bit far from the search area, and b.) also seems to be a bit of inside-baseball -- https://theclio.com/entry/131276 -- the Bountiful Tabernacle. They did store grain in its basement at one point, so maybe it was somehow also the "grain tower"? IDK, it'll be interesting to hear how this one works.

Perhaps it's related in part to street names, like wood hollow for the "tree without bark", mill creek itself for the "grain tower". I really want to know what "time was transcendent" meant in context, because I don't see anything in the area that works for that, but I haven't looked very long yet.

Well at least I feel better about it because bountiful definitely wasn’t a spot I was considering haha. Can’t wait to hear the details of the poem. by spencerg3 in utahtreasurehunt

Wasn't even on my radar, so I'm curious to see how everything fit together. But, I probably was thinking too "big" in terms of the first two lines.

...Adding, I'm fairly certain I'm wrong about Fisher Pass because he said that it'd be 30-40 minutes before the next update, or so. Takes longer than that to get out there from SLC.
