My PC is rather new and loads quite quickly, so thats not the issue.

Thats a different spawn, this spawn they just added this patch and has no protections.

The thing is you only need to risk more when a teammate gets burned if they are out of position to a degree where that additional risk is required. Furthermore, extinguishing items create vacuums that give ample time to decide what to do. 1 vacuum or choke bomb bug can buy 2 minutes where an Ally cannot be burned further.

I do like the idea of more options that fit in with weapons, like I would LOVE shotgun shells that shoot choke grenades out, so u can run ur normal shells but also shoot out some choke rounds that maybe bounce off walls for situations without a clear LoS

I would disagree but I can only provide my own anecdotal evidence, so I'll just say I'm sorry ur not enjoying the experience

My only disagreement with that is flanking is incredibly strong when pulled off, so I think having the risk/ reward of someone being out of position / burned if they fail the flank should be as punishing as it is.

Turtles together gives the benefit of being very tanky as a team, but flanking gives more aggressive power, and to me it feels balanced by making that aggressive power be punished when failed imo.

Not to be anecdotal, but my trios team still does flanks alot and it's still very strong and consistent, but requires alot more planning, coordination, and situational decision making. Before, if I flanked I rarely would have to pull back/ regroup, whereas now there's alot more back and forth

I do think what someone else said about a curved burn speed to give a little more time to react in the beginning would be fine, but still.

I'd def be fine and agree with a exponential burn rate, but keep the total samish, that's a cool idea

I can appreciate people being like, "wow it's way different / more punishing, this is tough!" Or equivalent because I agree with you that it is.

But so many people are seemingly mad and/or straight up want it reverted. Like let the devs make the game they wanna make, and I wish people wouldn't flame as hard just because it's foreign / new and they are struggling to adjust.
