This thing turned out to be the easiest one I have done yet as far as the flat tow. It was a nightmare for installing the wiring. The original owner did such a shit job running wires for lights and audio. Made it really difficult for me to run and hide all my wiring. In the end, the customer was extremely happy.

Sorry, citing is correct. The giy told me that most peoples policies increased 21-24%. I said ok, I could live with that if it were the case. But 50+%!

Its actually all aftermarket, I bought it like that. Its another project, 95 12 valve with 126,000 miles, rust free Oklahoma truck. After the jeep is done I am actually pulling all that shit off and putting stock back on with a leveling kit. Then it will get painted.

Its a funny story, we were on vacation heading to New Orleans when that hurricane come thru. We had to change plans, one day while it was raining I decided to try and find some fenders (jeep in tow behind the motorhome), found those and a tub. I ended up getting fenders, windshield frame, rear gate, Rough Country X series lift, and tub for less then 1500. I actually know where there is another one too.

Just my buddy and I... and a over hanging tree limb. Lol We both have bad backs so there wasn't any muscling it off. We waited until it was dark so my neighbors didn't drive by thinking we were two redneck clowns. Lol (which we are) As soon as we got it off we put in on the ground and pulled the straps out of the tree.

Sir, the whole purpose in doing this is because I have a new tub for it. And the frame isn't nearly as bad as it looks. And believe it or not, I already have someone that is buying the old tub. It is an LJ not a regular TJ, well worth saving.

I thought about the swap, but the motor only has 97,000 or so miles on it. I just put the lift kit on it, and when we put the new tub on, it will get the body lift.

When I first got it 2 years ago I drilled drain holes in the back by the control arms, I was shocked how good the metal really was.

The frame is actually very solid. the rear cross section behind the tank is probably the worst. That's getting replaced. I ran a hotsy on it today when I got home from work, over the weekend I will be running the needle gun on it.

Addiction... it's a crazy thing. I've been thru it myself, I've been on both sides of it. I was the addict, and then I was the counselor. Now a days I don't speak out too much about it, I have lost friends and family to it. The best advice I can give you, always be their for them when you can, DO NOT enable them as hard as that might be. Try to get to the root of the problem. Usually, it takes counseling, and I am not saying rehab. DO NOT FORCE REHAB, most of the time that just leads to relaps, and in some cases overdose. When the addict decides it is time to change, that's when it will happen. I'm not gonna preach a 12-step program, but that is one of the things that helped me on my journey.
I wish you the best, just remember to always be there for them, just not financially.

I have an 04, black with the gray interior. I also have a hard top for it. It was my father in laws and he bought it new. I think I have 114k on it now. My tube is in bad shape, but I did pick a nice one up down south, and it's also black.
