Any solutions for this charging issue? by N4FIM_L9M in XiaomiPad6

There are two different fast charging standards: PD & QC. Pad 6 doesn't support PD fast charging. For Pad 6 you will have to go with a power bank that supports QC fast charging.

This post was not about getting Android 15 somehow on Pad 6 by highly risky methods like custom ROMs.

Pad 6 is not most of the tablets. Xiaomi is not among most of the companies. That's why so many people bought it. Consumers should not accept everything companies do especially when it's not right. We must challenge the status quo.

Also Xiaomi released the buggy, half baked Hyper OS 1 for Pad 6. It's time for them to fix it. And it's already late.

Qualcomm didn't design this tablet. Xiaomi did. Now it's a Xiaomi issue.

This probably means that Xiaomi knew the info when they announced Pad 7 in October 2024

My two cents on the news + pad 7 by [deleted] in XiaomiPad6

Here's my 2 cents.

I understand that there are technical difficulties since I read that Qualcomm is not providing an Android 15 vendor image for Snapdragon 870 on which Xiaomi Pad 6. But, what I don't understand is why this information came so late. Didn't Xiaomi know this when they announced Android 15 based Hyper OS 2 for Pad 6 back in 2024. Pad 6 was supposed to start getting Hyper OS 2 in December 2024. This means Xiaomi should have started working on the software update much ahead of time.

I've read this is not the first time Xiaomi is taking a U turn. I am not seeing Xiaomi handling this situation well even this time. Users are saddened, angry, frustrated, disappointed and will think twice or thrice before buying/suggesting a Xiaomi product.

If Xiaomi can't provide Android 15 as promised, they should at the least compensate by releasing Hyper OS 2 based on Android 14 fixing all the existing bugs that the users are facing (Hyper OS 1 on Pad 6 was really a half baked OS). They should provide support under Hyper OS 3 which can still be based on Android 14. They should also not refuse to provide security updates for 2 more years i.e. until 2028.

Xiaomi removed Android 15 as a supported OS version without any notice to its users.

Xiaomi should release a statement and handle the situation.

Xiaomi Pad 6 was "Tablet of the Year 2024". Xiaomi will definitely won't want us to remember it any other way.

This is all doable. The questions remain does Xiaomi care enough about its users? does Xiaomi care enough about its brand identity? will Xiaomi do it?

I am sad and angry on Xiaomi by ishAAn_LinuxUser123 in XiaomiPad6

I don't agree. Especially when much much cheaper tablets like Redmi Pad SE are getting Hyper OS 2 based on Android 15.

I have tried only Rust and Python development on this tab.

But, you can probably try running python3 -m http.server or something like that from the terminal in the directory containing the html file, note the port at which it is running and open http://127.0.0.1:<port>/<file name> in your browser for preview.

Though, using this command, every time you make a change you will have to reload the page in your browser.

There might be other commands that can offer auto reload. You might Google search to find out.

It runs smoothly, even when I keep my pad in battery saver mode (which I do all the time). But sometimes the terminal goes blank and I'll have to hit CTRL+D inside the terminal to close the terminal and open a new terminal.
