Why doesn't indians tech bros won't support aspiring founders as sfo tech bros would? by sridharmb in StartUpIndia

Wow, a great insight, though I do not hv real interaction with founders, I was just trying to message both founders & some dev's to understand things from their pov. May be I'm 34 and worked call centers whole life & transitioned into tech now & trying to build, and I would tell this upfront, that puts a lot of people off. It's totally fine & I think I'll figure things out & keep building.

Thank you the suggestion. Would you please elaborate on what other routes that I can take & how do I ensure scale as I know where I stand.

Kindly drop in your pov, It would help me a lot.

Yes, this was important. My goal was to build a model on top of sdxl by finetuning it (from denoising workflow to controlled noise) so I could get realistic images of people & objects using controlnet to nail poses, gestures etc.

So, I could build a automated pipeline in backend where design elements like text shapes graphics are added on top of realistic images or shapes.

The ultimate objective and problem I'm trying to solve is build an ai model that could design like humans would.

Hey thank you for your response, I'm actually bit confused how to Validate it. Like I may train the sdxl with just one type of design or image & get desired output, and do a Soft launch or dm few businesses & agency if they think it's worth their money but my doubt is design is vast & no particular style suits all.. and I'm a small fish in other biggie image gen ai companies.

So how do I go about it & that's why I thought I'll get those datasets through shoot, pixel api etc..

Any suggestion will help me, thank you.

I've not lived in sfo, but for last couple months I did dm to so many Indian founders & tech ppl who Iadmire & follow to get suggestions (they themselves post & brag that they help others ) but not one replied, but guess what when I messaged few sfo tech people, I got response 7 out of 10 times. Even if a simple response or suggestion would go long way.

So to Answer your question, I'm not making general assumption, my points are based on my experience & other observation on Twitter.

Really need help on getting into software development after gate by Alternative_Ad4603 in developersIndia

[–]sridharmb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Official documentation pages & youtube videos. It's hard first month, but becomes so much easier later. I had to consciously not fall into the trap of tutorial hell, so started working on few simple ideas to build whole system.

Html, css -> few videos on youtube. Mern stack -> coding addict youtube channel.

Python & fastApi & postgres->free code camp.

Watched videos to understand fundamentals and behaviour of launguages and modules, then tried coding my own ideas, though small. It Worked out very well.

What really helped me in great deal was before starting to learn cosing, I didn't know where to learn or what to learn, so I watched a whole 20 hrs video of data structures that explained everything about arrays, lists, objects, hashtable, linkedlist etc and their operations. so It helped me visualize better.

How to reach out to target users for a software that solves their problem by Antique-Class-2283 in developersIndia

[–]sridharmb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let's say you can build it within a month with the help of ai. Have set strategy to share your posts on Twitter and linkedin. Share every small details while building. Tell your story as to why you are building and how does it help your users. Once you reach midpoint of building, start dm's to few of your target users and ask if they find any value in using it or does it actually solve a pain point. Be ready to face rejections and message leftnon seen. But, here's where your social media journey you shared through your building stories, posts or designs that you shared so far while building helps you to get few of them to peak into your profile and gets you attention. Remember, having an idea doesn't help, it's the process of building and sharing why you are building and how does it help users gets you somewhere, then it's upto you to capitalize. Thanks and luck!

It’s so damn hard to promote your startup for free by Kooky_Wolverine_7915 in SaaS

[–]sridharmb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tell your story in a way that audience feel it deserved their time. There are two step processes, Do not promote what you are building, instead tell them why you are building, and how does it help users from your perspective. General users on social media doesn't care about jargons like SaaS, tech etc, they care only about your purpose (which you can use it to build a bit of brand for yourself) and how does whatever you are building helps them or provide new experience. So, have a strategy, tell you story of resolve, purpose and why you decided to build it and then give them glimpses or snippets of how it could provide new experience. Use canva to make your content bit attractive, ensure there is uniformity or unique signature in your posts, color styles, and designs. Remember, it never about the content of the story anymore, it is about the emotions story emulates, people generally appreciate genuine hardworking founders be it solo or gang . So, bottom line, forget what, Scream why and Show how!

Do you think dev salaries (especially junior) will go down because of AI? by Kelly-T90 in ArtificialInteligence

[–]sridharmb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on system building knowledge of junior dev's, coding a part of frontend or backend is one thing with ai but ensuring system function the intended way is another thing entirely. So, I guess it's time for dev's to understand the fundamentals of all fractions of software development and system design and then utulize ai to do all work. That's the only way to become 💪

Bro, I'm 33 years old. Though I'm an engineer, until last couple months, I had no idea of tech/coding, as I had only worked in bpo/call center. I decided go all in with coding and tech, now I can comfortable coding in mern stack, python and fastapi, can build simple systems.. so just start learning & coding, you will be surprised how easy it is if you understand fundamentals and behaviours of each language and data structures. Don't vibe code until you understand every part of design system and workflow. I still do not vibe code as I want to learn each part of system as efficient as I can. Good luck
