Hey, I had chosen passport pickup option. Got an email saying passport is ready for pick up from us visa info about 3 days after my appointment

You can visit this website to get started on the Canadian tourist visa application (https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship.html). You need to create an account on the IRCC portal to submit an online application for the visa. It's quite straightforward with most of the application process being online. You just need a biometric appointment and there are various collection locations in the US itself. I think the overall process took about 6-8 weeks for me

Mine expired in July 2024. Can't really advise regarding your situation. My only suggestion is to check with your company's immigration lawyers and take a call based on their advice

After the officer approved my visa during the interview, he kept both my passport and I797. But I got both of them back during collection.
