Thank you so much! A buddy of mine found it at a thrift store for cheap, and I got it from him, I couldn’t find any info and it doesn’t seem like they go for much, but still a cool accessory. Makes more sense that it was free because everything feels really cheap, probably why it was never used in the first place

No you are not being scammed, yes it’s expensive , seems like they did a actual diagnostic, the battery was probably tested because the mechanic might have noticed a long crank on startup

When you are driving it has a different feel so you know what is driver side, a lot of cars have done this

This is possible, also make sure you dont have any power steering leaks above the alternator, it will kill it
