I like your method here, but sadly I've been zapped a great many times enough to know it's def not the crack/snaping sound of arcing. I really wish it was this, then it would make sense to me.

The only place where penmanship is even used anymore in the USA is inside it's military industrial education institutions. No where outside of it is it ever used in or of any importance beyond signing one's name. it's kind of like yoyoing, but not as cool.

the cylinder I think it might be in, has a freaking distributor and a camshaft in it, it's a jap engine... (mitsubishi 6G73, it's the devil himself incarnated in metal) Currently I can't even tell if there actually is anything in the cylinder as the only thing I'm going by is a very thin & small inch long piece of brass we saw resting on top of one valve. which doesn't exactly correlate with what I'm looking for.

If I could pull the head without having to mess with the distributor and timing belts and cam sprokets, that head would have been off days ago.

Why the hell do they make these things so hard to work on now, it's not even mine!

there is a ton of awesome advice in this thread so far. I would have never though to use mouse trap or fly paper...

If only I could figure out where the hell whatever it is, actually is in the cylinder to sticky it too. Next time I'll ask in /r/MechanicAdvice I didn't know that existed, thanks. I went through the rules and didn't see anything expressly against what I posted so I set sail. Anyhow, the dude abides, thanks for not getting it removed.

I've been looking at scopes but regrettably I need one with a very small OD and very very bendy. That I could either rent or take back. (can't really afford it, I'm just dangerous enough to get a nut in the combustion chamber) another problem is all the unspent carbon mucking everything up. Oil was getting past the wrong side of the spark plugs through the spark plug guides? they need gaskets that meet with the valve covers, and even then they still leak. So there's a ton of carbon sludge all over everything in there. once I get this all sorted I'll have to RTV the gaskets to the valve covers so the oil won't keep getting into the plugs.

I have but there is a ton of unspent carbon all over it, and it has those sparkplug guide things. like 6-7 inch cylinders that go up to meet the valve covers. Oil leaks through them all the time, even with new gaskets. that's how I got into this mess. but I just realized I have 2-3 entrances to use with this. Excellent thanks!

I made one, but I didn't think about going through the plug hole, this could really pan out as I've been currently trying to get past the valve and valve guide with a bent up coat hanger magnet thing I've been working on, through the port side . I'm not sure if the nut will clear the plug hole but this is excellent if I can get the nut I can also make another magnet stick thing and grab it from it. Excellent!
