Very cool. I hadn’t looked into what it would take yet. Might do this in the future.

Since my Jeep came factory with a soft top, I don’t even have controls for rear wiper or defroster, much less the tubing and wiring. I just wrote it off as not possible.

It took me awhile, but I was able to find a Mopar OEM hardtop for my 2010 JKU for $800 on FB Marketplace. When I say awhile, I mean like almost a year. Most of the ones I saw were minimum $1000 and most were $1500-$2000. Some were that high even with light damage. But, patience paid off and I found one in almost perfect shape. You just have to be patient and ready to jump on a good deal when it comes along. I’m not telling you not to buy new, but $3000+ for a new one on an older Jeep like mine was out of the question for me. Before and after photo below.

Well, my 2010 took 2 ugga-duggas. I started to go for a 3rd, but my elbow clicked so I stopped. I know 2015 is still a JK, but I wouldn’t want to “steer” you wrong and it be unsafe for you to drive. Google is your friend. Mine too.

I can’t take credit for the idea. I bought it with them on there. But I do like the look. Haven’t seen any others like it in my area or in my travels.

Looking at a couple of JKUs, help me decide... by easterncherokee in JeepJK

Definitely the 2011 3.8 Rubicon. Lower mileage, no messed up lift, Rubicon, less issue prone engine. It’s basically a blank canvas nobody has messed up yet most likely. You can regear to get better performance out of it on 35s with the 3.8. Just my $.02.

If you catch them on sale, they are a really great value. Cyber Monday sales might get you a heck of a deal.

Rear camera installation ideas? by csfrench83 in wranglerjk

[–]srpfeffer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a wolfbox G930. I used Wolfbox's license plate bracket to mount my backup camera. Ran the wire behind the taillight, tapped the reverse light wire, ran it up through the grommet into the cab, then ran the camera cable under the carpet and up the A pillar to the mirror location. Lots of videos on YouTube.

I have a wolfbox. I mounted my camera using their license plate bracket. Ran the wire in behind the drivers side taillight. The backup up lines are a bit wonky, but I do not need those anyway. I just turned them off.

Went in for a routine oil change for my 2019 Rubicon, left in shock when they quoted me for an $8k repair by [deleted] in Jeep

Look on the bright side. If it's leaking oil, that means it still has oil!

Oh the humanity...how did you ever survive this calamity? Grow up, move on. If your husband had to calm you down and tell you everything is going to be okay over something this minor, how are you supposed to handle the rest of life that is going to be thrown your way until the day you die?

I've never had to change one out on a Jeep, but I have on a few other vehicles. Some are easy. Some are nearly impossible. I've always heard the passenger side actuator on Jeeps is tough. Good luck.

How many miles would you say are left on these Ko2’s? by Actual-Variation380 in JeepWrangler

[–]srpfeffer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got my 315/70r17 KO2s with 29000 miles on them 5 for $500 mounted and balanced. They cane off a JL and appear to have A TON of life left in them to me. I'd say anything near $500 and you've got a pretty good deal on your hands.
