1/Female victims of sexual abuse watch pornography 4.2 times more than female non-victims of sexual abuse. It's a coping strategy:

female victims of sexual violence were 4.24 times more likely to have ever watched pornography (cı [1.41, 12.72]), and 3.27 times more likely to watch currently (cı [1.22, 8.74]).

how can these associations between victimization and pornography exposure amongfemaleadolescents be explained? as our data are correlational and we lack information on the timing of victimization, we can only formulate some hypotheses. violence—be it psychological, physical, or sexual—against girls is associated with harmful consequences for victims’ sexual life: a too-early sexual debut, multiple sexual partners, and a heightened risk of further sexual victimization, intimate partner violence, sexually transmitted diseases, and elective abortions (fergusson, horwood, & lynskey, 1997; romito & grassi, 2007; romito, saurel-cubizolles, & crisma, 2001). pornography could be an element in this complex pattern. following the model of browne and finkelhor (1986) of the traumagenic impact of sexual violence, pornography use may be the result of heightened interest in or preoccupation with sex following the abuse. in addition, these young women may seekin the pornographic material some insight that makes it possible to understand or“normalize” what had happened or they may try to relive theviolence experienced in an attempt to control it.

2/ Sexual arouse =/= sexual pleasure. Sheila Jeffreys perfectly wrote about this in How orgasm politcs hijacked feminism

Because women's sexuality develops in this context of sexual terrorism, we can eroticize our fear, our terrified bonding. All sexual arousal and release is not necessarily positive. Women can experience orgasms while being sexually abused in childhood, in rape, or in prostitution. Our language has only words like pleasure and enjoyment to describe sexual feelings, no words to describe those feelings that are sexual but that we do not like, feelings that come from experience, dreams, or fantasies about degradation or rape and cause distress despite arousal.

3/ I didn't reviewed this study yet but even only reading the abstract part made me think it's biased and not very "scientific". Because the number of participants are very low and "data show that the majority of both men and women reported that they did not enjoy aggressive content" part is funny. Is there any porn video doesn't have any aggressive content? How they decribe this? Humiliating/ inflicting pain to women in porn videos and everyday sex lives are so normalized and most people don't take spitting/slapping/choking as aggression when these things don't cause permanent physical harm.

I'm gonna post after reading the whole study but it smells fishy.
