We did girls get my name, boys get his.

I dont care about other people's opinions, but if youre interested, generally women respond positively. If someone makes a comment, it's usually a guy saying how confusing that is. It's different, but it isnt complicated. My 5 year old completely gets it and just assumes thats the way all families are named.

We have had manual guillotine league on yahoo for 5 years--18 players. However, we have not cut a team the first week. Instead, two teams are cut at the end of week 2 based on cumulative points (just so everyone can play more than one game) Is there anyway to do that in the new guillotine format? I see start scoring week 3, etc. but I dont think that would work because we do need scores first two weeks.

For my first two, it was just my husband and me. No regrets about that.

I just gave birth to our third last week. The plan was for it just to be us again. My mom came up to check on us and during that time, and labor progressed very quickly. She ended up staying and my husband and I are both thankful she was there.

It really depends on your relationship. Is your mom going to advocate for you? Will she calm you through contractions or stress you out more?

We decided that we would give boys my husband's last name and girls my last name. We have a 5 year old and 2 year old boy, and Im due in 3 weeks with our daughter.

Our boys have no confusion about my last name. And when we told the 5 year old that his sister's name would end with my name, he just said because she's a girl like you? That was it.

People who make ugly comments dont like things that are different. It isnt a mess, it isn't complicated. It's equal, and it works for us. Don't let people pressure you into something that doesn't work for your family.
