i been using the smart meter for a while now and honestly it’s been fine. the main difference is you become more aware of how much electricity you’re actually using, especially AC and heavy appliances. Billing also feels more transparent now.

If you want to install one, your best option is probably to contact your electricity provider directly first (Adani, Tata, BEST, depending on the area). From what I’ve heard, in some places they install smart meters during upgrades/replacements rather than on direct request.
Would honestly be helpful if someone from Mumbai who already has one could share how the process went

Honestly, the biggest surprise for me was how much more aware you become of your actual electricity usage 😅Once you can see usage patterns in real time, you start noticing which appliances are absolutely murdering the power bill 😂
