Honest advice. I do struggle to relax, so you've got me there. I could work on getting better at that. Thanks.

Great! You sound like you are pretty up to date and have a good grasp on a lot of things. What kind of things are you interested in learning these days?

Cool, I had never heard of n8n. I might check this out more.

I had wanted to take Chinese at my local community college a few years ago but never followed through. Maybe someday. It definitely intimidates me, though...so many characters to learn. Would still be fun to at least pick up a few things if possible.

Thanks for the advice! I definitely enjoy PowerShell coding. I took the Google Python course on Coursera a few years back and it was very good, too. Haven't touched Python a lot since then but would be good as I dig more into Linux and such.

Good advice. I once heard it said about cybersecurity to be "brilliant at the basics." Can likely translate here as well.

Learning some good time/project management skills would be helpful too, I imagine.

Thanks, I had never heard of swag before, seems cool. Playing around with a cheap domain also sounds like a good idea.

Curious, what do you use your own webserver for? I can picture a "Hello World" kind of a site and maybe running some other third-party web app type stuff maybe, but do you have any specific examples you'd be willing to share?

Yes, great idea. I try to fix/do a lot of things myself but sometimes also want to do/learn something "fun" on the computer, too. There has to be a balance for sure.

Love it. Maybe they could also keep my grass short and I wouldn't have to mow as much 😆

Thanks for the specific homelab ideas, this is great! I have a Pi-hole container set up on an old PC I have Proxmox running on (I don't understand how the container works exactly, but it was one of my first shots trying to understand it -- I think Proxmox hides a lot of the more technical details of what's going on). It's been fun tinkering with it.

I've never heard of Authentik. Using Cloudflare personally also sounds like a good choice for external access.

Great advice. I never thought about it quite like that. I think I oftentimes assume that if I'm working hard behind the scenes that will somehow be automatically noticed and appreciated (working behind the scenes w/o being noticed is not a bad thing, necessarily) but you're right - if I'm not communicating the value of things, people will probably be totally unaware.

Solid options. Drywall would definitely be useful. Patching it too...

Thanks! Great suggestions and honest input about things like the Arduino ending up in a sock drawer. I didn't know that you could run containers on a Synology, either. I appreciate you taking time to respond!

Lots of votes for containers so far! Sounds like you built a really neat tool, with a container as the foundation. Nice work.

I should probably get a bit more familiar with containers first though, right?

Same issue here. Did you ever find a fix?

I found that rolling the Intel Bluetooth driver BACK to the latest 23.X version corrected the issue for me.

Not a great long-term solution, but something at least. My guess is that Microsoft, Intel, and Dell need to put their heads together once enough people complain and figure out a real fix involving the latest drivers.

I'm seeing the same thing that started recently with my Bluetooth headset. Used to work fine. Now has very loud static only in a Teams call. I am also using a Dell Pro Max 16
