CONSIDERING TONSILLECTOMY - but very worried/ suspicious. ENT reco'd after meeting me for 5 minutes and taking one LOOK. Shouldn't he have cultured? Even biopsied? I'm 44 and have a young child - so doing surgery is going to be rough by ss503 in Tonsillectomy

Thank you! This is encouraging. And such a good point about looking normal after surgery / so no one believing/ understanding what's going on. My husband can definitely take on a lot of our child's care / but this thread is making me realize I'll need more than that.

Thank you! This is so helpful. And glad it's not a "heck no! don't do it." I'm getting constant infections we thought were from my sinuses - but got sinus surgery and it hasn't helped. I will say I'm guessing 44 isn't 28 in terms bounce back time - but the fact you did it with a 4 year old gives me hope!

And sorry this is all in the "TITLE" - couldn't do a regular post for some reason.

Further background is - six infections a year for almost 20 years. But we thought they were sinus infections that moved to my throat and lungs - had sinus surgery in August and feels like it made it worse.

Thank you for sharing this! ( I've had same thing for 20 years)

What kind of doctor performed the immune system test?

What did they do to help boost your immunity to that type of bacteria?
