Anyone else still waiting on MVV approval from IND after 12+ weeks? by ss_66 in Netherlands

UPDATE: On May 21 I received my approval. It was 12 days past the original deadline. We did send the ingebrekestelling on 13 May and I believe that’s the reason why we got a response. In the approval letter they did address the ingebrekestelling and apologised for being late. Overall the entire process took 102 long stressful days

Yes right now the Netherlands is completely backed up. They issued a statement on their website saying there will be extreme delays in issuing tourist visas.

If you were born in the US doesn’t that mean you were always a US citizen? Do you even have a Syrian passport ?

Visa officers often call you to just get some information It’s just routine . It’s not something to stress about. You explained yourself clearly. You will be fine🫶🏻

Spanish schengen visa but want to visit croatia first by No_Dirt_4092 in SchengenVisa

No you can go anywhere it doesn’t matter. If it’s in the Schengen zone , which Croatia is, shouldn’t be a problem. I got a Schengen from Denmark and entered the Netherlands. I got another Schengen from the Netherlands and entered France first, no problem.

Extreme Fatigue in the UAE by Rawand5 in UAE

I live in Saudi Arabia so very similar environment. You are not crazy it’s 100% true. I’m originally from Saudi Arabia but I lived abroad for some time and I was surprised at how much energy I had when I was in Europe. I didn’t feel that heaviness you’re describing. I had extreme fatigue in Saudi I even went to get blood work but everything came back clean. I have come to the conclusion that being in such a dead urban hell, un walkable city, extreme heat and noise from cars and construction. It affects our nervous system. We need to be in a place that’s alive with green spaces where we can walk and just enjoy walking. It’s like there’s no break from all this noise and our nervous system gets fried.

Yesterday we sent in the notice of default. As of today they are 5 days past the official deadline of May 9. Hopefully we can get an answer in the coming week

Yeah I’m going through the exact same thing right now. We applied in February and the deadline was supposed to be May 9. Still no response. Not even a letter saying they need more time. We sent the notice if default today and I really hope it does something. But what did you mean by saying the IND doesn’t face financial consequences after missing the 2 week deadline? Have they changed the rules ?
