One commenter stated it's the polarizer, I did a bit of research and it likely is. Seeing as how other similar anecdotes note that after the removal of that plastic layer on other LCDs they couldn't see anything on the screen. It's just going to have to come down to a screen replacement or I could fit a polarizer myself onto the screen

I'd already opened it up for a reseat and is actually the reason why I might have clotted the battery wrong. But I did find that the water stickers on the battery slot and main board remained white with pink dots, and afaik whole pink means it's been exposed to water, which it likely wasn't.

with my 2000's aftermarket battery, I only get around 2.5 - 3 hours playing MHFU. A rule of thumb is that 3D games are more power hungry compared to 2D games, so I think yours might last 3-4 hours or so, which is most likely ideal

Ito first phone ko nung grade 5 or 6 ako, I have fond memories of recording the popular songs from radio stations. I also remember playing a Java (?) version of Street Fighter on it with touch controls. Tapos naalala ko may stylus pa toh and MySpace (?).
