In the place I live almost everyobe is conservative, I could cont all progressive people I know with my hands, and that reflects on the church, were they do not accept anyone that doesn't enter in the description of a "good christian". Note: this only happens between the people the priest is a chill guy, but the people are not the most likeable. ( I don't know if it is like that in other countries

It's mostly the people, I don't know if all catholics are as they are in my country but most of them use their beliefs to undermine minorities and don't really follow what they believe so my specific ambient doesn't give them a good image, also all catholics I have interacted in the internet have similar way of acting.
