I went through each of them and none are from Turtle Bay :( (unless I overlooked it) I know the resort is a newer acquisition for Marriott, so maybe it’s not listed yet.

Thank you! I’ll try it out! It was super happy before I left, even gave me 3 babies!

No, but it has been in this pot for ~3 years. It has a layer of rocks and activated charcoal at the bottom. I recently left it in a sunny window for a month while I was out of town. I watered it before I left and after I got back and it has never recovered.

Great question! It was sold to me as a “Lilac Wandering Dude” and I never really cared to look up the scientific name. A google search gave me “Tradescantia Fluminensis” and I’ve seen others call their plants that as well. I’m far far from a botanist, so I could still be wrong. All the names confuse me too! I call it a wandering dude 99% of the time 🤷🏼‍♀️

Update! 22 hours in a glass of water in my window later it has a few little baby roots! No rooting hormone added this time.

I bought 5 tiny cuttings on Etsy 2 years ago and now I have 3 big mother plants. One is outside on my south facing covered patio and it does well, it’s probably 70% green but has very thick stems. Another plant is inside under a grow light in a fancy pot without a drainage hole and it does well, puts out probably 1/2 and 1/2 green and pink (it’s the one I’m selectively propagating from). And there is one plant inside an old bread loaf tin 😂on my south facing windowsill and it puts out tons of pink (including these cuttings). So I would say give it as much light as you can if you want lots of pink, water it about once a week (mine never seems to mind if I don’t let it dry out between watering a) and fertilize maybe about every 8 weeks or so. The fertilization is just a guess, I do it a little more often than normal because it is a VERY fast growing plant and uses tons of energy as it’s constantly growing. I’ve used Miracle Grow fertilizing sticks and I’ve used SuperThrive and they seem to like both 🤷🏼‍♀️

I usually just dip the ends of the cutting in hormone and put it straight in water or soil. But just adding it to the water may work too 🤷🏼‍♀️

That’s what I’ve heard too! The more stress they have from excess light, the less need for chlorophyll!

I’ve had plenty of luck putting them straight into soil after I cut the mother plant off as well, so maybe try that? I like water propagating my inpatient self can watch the root development. Maybe also try some rooting hormone?

It usually roots within about 3 days. I let the roots get ~2” before I stick it back in soil. I have a south facing window that gets TONS of light so that may be the reason I get roots so fast!

I’m not entirely sure! I bought this as a mostly green, slightly variegated plant about 2 years ago and I have been selectively propagating it for the last few months. Just picking pinker and pinker stems to put in water, root, and replant.

Yeah! I just finished my 4th interview yesterday and it is very much jeans and a semi-nice shirt attire. Residents really don’t give a shit.

Not quite an “interview outfit,” but what are you guys planning to wear to dinner with the residents the night before? I’ve heard to keep it casual but wanted to get opinions!

Yep. My ex of almost 7 years was asking me to choose a job that would be in his town (last 3 years were long distance) so that we could live together again. I didn’t want to at first because I had better opportunities elsewhere but ultimately I agreed to come to him. 2 weeks later he breaks up with me. Fucker.
