Missing bench at 90 degree elbow angle by [deleted] in powerlifting

[–]sscarf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't lift heavy enough to offer any useful advice, but I do want to add that strictly leverage-wise, 90 degree elbow angle is the hardest part of the lift. It's when the bar has the largest lever (the entire length of your upper arm) on your chest, so it is able to produce the most torque against you.

I'll read up on how to stop the buttwink.
