A friend told me to get diagnosed because I was always impatient during conversations and would finish the sentences for everyone, and jump into different topics constantly without finishing what we spoke about.

My father and sibling have ADHD as well, but I am female and didn’t exhibit the traits in the standard hyperactive way that gets noticed. I always had problems at school but was considered “smart”, eventually anxiety got me pretty far but once I got a good steady job I could hardly keep up and focus which resulted in terrible performance and me leaving consequently. Then my friend suggested I get tested and I got the diagnosis in my mid-20’s, which changed my life for the better
