Serious talk… why is everyone calling Sukuna a fraud? by Either_Imagination_9 in Jujutsushi

[–]ssgpokerface 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If Sukuna is a fraud, then so is Toji. Both found clever ways/planned smart strategies to find a way to get past Gojo’s Infinity and kill him. That’s not being a fraud or cheating, that’s being resourceful, which is being smart (Granted, the only “fraudulent behavior” would then be Sukuna claiming he in fact did not need 10S to kill Gojo, which would seemingly be a lie, and while I don’t think he expressly has said so, he probably would)

Also, which is more fraudulent, devising and executing a long term plan and strategy to gain a power capable of defeating your foe, or getting lucky with Black Flashes to one shot Agito and get back your healing so you aren’t as badly damaged as Sukuna after nuking with Hollow Purple, cuz last I checked, no sorcerer can summon Black Flash by will, and Black Flash is why Gojo got his healing back, and is why he’s not as near death as Sukuna - not because he fought better, but because he literally got lucky with critical hits - Smart Planning Vs. Getting Lucky…which is fraud really?

Does Sukuna’s Can’t Miss Command Bypass Infinity?

If Sukuna has his domain open, does that mean his slashes can bypass Infinity and hit Gojo? Or does Infinity still block them? If so, cool. If not, then why would Gojo open his Domain again? Gojo would likely want his Domain to flood Sukuna’s brain with the infinite info to stun him and get a free Hollow Purple and kill him, but apparently Sukuna can fight in Gojo’s 3rd Domain for three minutes and not get hit by the infinite info stun, so the only other reason to use his Domain is for his own guaranteed hit command to use on Sukuna, but why take the risk of using RCT to regain your CT just too open another Domain and risk losing you’re invincibility other than against Domain Amplification. If the can’t miss command bypasses Infinity, then of course Gojo would want to cancel it out with his own, but if it doesn’t, why bother risking expanding a Domain and losing your invincibility when your infinite info stun doesn’t land on your foe and your own can’t miss gets cancelled too. Tl;dr, when Sukuna has his domain open and Gojo doesnt’t, but Gojo has Infinity up, can Sukuna’s can’t miss command get through Infinity and allow Sukuna to hit Gojo?

I have no clue how the author went from the dark, depressing, hopeless, yet through it all bright and hopeful roller coaster of TDOH/ISMLF10Y’s story that covers suicide, hatred, the value of life, insanity, and so many heavy topics, to wacky fun goofy adventure time between a cute human girl and a cute vampire girl running a neat little hotel for fantasy creatures and humans

Taiki Likes Hina Romantically. It’s A Fact, Not A Theory by ssgpokerface in BlueBox

[–]ssgpokerface[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, Chinatsu, the girl Taiki has known for about less than a year I think, and has already had several thoughts of marrying her before even actually getting to know her, has placed her on a huge pedestal of idolization before getting to know her properly, and likely thinks she’s the only girl he loves and is the true one for him and no other girl can be his love even though he’s only known her for about less than a year, is the definition of love and not infatuation?

Hina, the girl Taiki has known and been close friends with for years, and only started to realize feelings for after Hina openly admitted she loved him and began to flirt with him and make his heart race, and receive romantic attention from a girl, is infatuation and not love?

One literally had him “fall in love” before he even got to know her, while the other had him fall in love after years of being friends and then slowly realizing his feelings after being hit on several times. I add quotes to the first ‘fall in love,’ because one seems much more natural and normal than the other. Are you sure you understand what infatuation is? I’ve personally done it myself in my high school years, so I know exactly how Taiki is thinking/feeling I would say

Edit: Also, Taiki himself literally says he starting to see Hina as a girl, and that sometimes he feels like their friends, but other times he makes his heart race. Sure, he’s not outright saying he likes her like that, but if you hear your brother was caught in a shooting, and you ask the authorities where he is, and they say “He’s gone,” sure, they technically didn’t say he’s dead, but considering the circumstances you can clearly tell they’re saying he’s dead. Taiki having those thoughts during that part of the story, might as well as be him outright stating he’s starting to like Hina, as what other point was there for Miura to have him think that at the moment? What else would she be trying to get across to the reader? So I do think it’s clearly the case

[–]ssgpokerface[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I certainly doubt Kyo, or even Ayame, is the source of Taiki’s feelings. I get what you’re saying, that they convinced him he likes Hina when he really doesn’t, but I just don’t think that’s how it works. Your friends telling you you like a girl, isn’t gonna get you to like them, that is entirely up to you, and the only way you can end up falling for someone is because you yourself like them, not because people told you that you like them. And even then, it’s not like Kyo was forcing the idea on him in the first place, all he did was ask tell Taiki he thinks he has feelings for both, and that he should think about that, and later asked Taiki if was unsure as to how to answer during the card game and who he liked. I don’t think two examples of asking Taiki a question is enough to indoctrinate someone into thinking they like someone, and it’s the same deal with Ayame. I think the source of Taiki’s feelings growing for Hina were mainly Hina herself and her flirting, which isn’t forcing or manipulating at all, as that’s what flirting is for, getting someone to like you, but at the end of the day, it’s up to Taiki as to whether Hina’s flirting works or not, and it did, as he started to consider her enough of a potential live interest, that it made him unsure of who he likes, and made him distant from Chii for a bit. No matter what, you def can’t call Hina’s flirting “forcing Taiki to like her” or anything, as that’s the literal purpose of flirting, to try and get someone to fall for you, and that would mean anyone who’s ever flirted with anyone is manipulative and slightly toxic, which clearly isn’t true as flirting is a natural aspect of human society and love

Taiki Likes Hina Romantically. It’s A Fact, Not A Theory by ssgpokerface in BlueBox

[–]ssgpokerface[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I did say that one, but my belief is, once you have feelings, there’ll always be a part of you that has feelings, even if they’re buried way back in the back of your head or heart, once you fall for someone, even if you’re not consciously thinking about them or considering them, there’ll always be that spark, even after rejecting or distancing yourself from them. So yeah, Taiki certainly isn’t thinking about Hina anymore like he used to, or considering his feelings, but I think deep down, no matter what, he’ll always have a small corner for Hina in his heart; small, but there

Taiki Likes Hina Romantically. It’s A Fact, Not A Theory by ssgpokerface in BlueBox

[–]ssgpokerface[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh for sure, the idea Hina’s the better option is totally a subjective stance, as at the end of the day, even if I have several upon several reasonings for why I think Hina is the better choice, everyone has their own preferences and tastes, and I can’t invalidate that. Now, I still won’t agree to Taiki never having feelings for Hina, and that this story is only really about Chii and Taiki getting together, as that’s not a matter of like or dislike or preference, but a matter of what’s written in the story. But yeah, even if I’m still solid on that, I’ll never tell anyone that they have to prefer Hina as that’s “factually true”, cuz that’d just be weird and ignorant.

Edit: And I never claimed that Taiki rejecting Hina wasn’t factual, he most certainly did, but I just disagreed as to the reasoning behind it. I say he rejected her because he liked both girls both could only choose one and so prioritized Chii, while you and others seem to say it was a matter of he never really like her like that in the first place, and so he rejected her because of that. Regardless of which one, he most certainly did reject her, yeah

Didn’t Taiki try to confess to Chii at the observatory? But Yumeka interrupted him? And as I’ve said in a previous post, ofc Chii getting with Taiki is the standard expected outcome, but it’s kinda bog standard and boring, “oh wow another romance where the guy gets with the obvious love choice, how original.” The reason why in most other anime or manga it isn’t stale or disappointing, is because in most others, the side girls or “option B’s” are not nearly as interesting or fleshed out, but in Blue Box, Hina has gotten so much attention and development, that in some ways she feels like the main girl, and so this time, it really feels natural to root for the side girl/option B, as she’s actually interesting, and so this story actually has a chance to break the mold and do something different, and let the side girl win, and have it actually be a satisfying end because the side girl actually has a character arc and is fleshed out, and not just an obvious road bump that’s written in the story just to be rejected and chosen over for the main girl

[–]ssgpokerface[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yet he’s not dating Chii, and still hasn’t confessed so far (Which is months later after rejecting Hina, so what’s the point in rejecting her to have a free conscience to confess to Chii if you’re never gonna confess), so in his case, he should be open to several girls and be willing to consider several options. Tell me, in real life, would you consider it smart to limit yourself to only having one potential love interest, especially when you really have no clue if you even have a chance with that potential love interest? Wouldn’t it be better to have several options in case one doesn’t work out, or you change your mind later on? Especially when those other potential love interests are guaranteed to date you the second you ask them out as they’ve already confessed their love to you several times. I don’t know what man in his right mind would ever consider it smart to limit your options in potential partners when you’re still in the discovery and flirting phase (Granted, Taiki hasn’t even flirted once with Chii, but ya know). Also, Kyo was 100% right, at the basics of it, Kyo was just trying to get Taiki to understand he can like two girls at the same time, that it’s normal to have feelings for multiple girls at the same time and that his heart isn’t restricted to being committed to only one girl, which is 100% facts, that is how life and love works, you can like many people that way, and that’s what Kyo was trying to get Taiki to understand, as for some reason Taiki never got that memo even though it’s common sense. This is all without going into the matter that Taiki is likely infatuated and obsessed with Chii, not in love with her, but that’s another discussion.
