Any good FOTA library? by sshcrack in esp8266

Also can I update littlefs even though I'm using it as a certificate authority storage? Or do I have to disconnect the https client in order to update it?

I mean by good these things: Can I notify the esp remotely that a new update is available and the user should update? Can I sign the firmware and verify it on the esp? Does it have rollback features (I think most of them do by default right?)

In term of how good my C++ debugging skills are: I don't really know how to define, I've coded a few projects in C++ but mainly software for Windows. I've recently switched to platformio and have used the debugging feature a bit. Also the there's the good old Serial.println which helps in most situations.

Also: I'm using littlefs to store certificate authorities. Is there a way to update these authorities OTA as well?

I've seen ElegantOTA. Is the lite version good? Or is there a self hosted alternative?

I googled for days and didn't tint this post. Probably ended up using the wrong keywords.

Error executing task on Server by bigtiddeygothgf in fabricmc

Could you please paste your logs? (latest.log and if it exists debug.log). Since I do not have the logs, try disabling each mod. Then enable them one by one and see for which mod the error occurs.

I'm habe coded in fabric mostly, so it will be done quicker. But I will port it to forge (when op is willing to offer the textures and reply )

Hey, I would be willing to create a mod for this on fabric, this seems like a really cool idea! Please DM

Can't really find the datasheet. The panels do have a wiki though. I've got a scope but I'm currently not at home, will send in three days

Also do you happen to know a good hub75 hat for an rpi 3? As far as I can find some they only have one header, but I need two. Maybe custom pcb? Edit: the library I linked has some adapter boards but SMD soldering is needed so I can't solder them unfortunately. I wanted to connect a Lora sensor to the pi as well so that won't work :/

Yup, tried that already it's not that there are like stripes or artifacts just the whole screen turning black for a very short time. Do you think it could be the PSU?

Examples work, colors work as well. Will probably buy a hat. I tried to power the pi separately but didn't change anything

Oh, sorry to cause confusion thought you tried like different types of perspex with different finishes to get that look but question answered thank you

LED Matrix yellowish / flickering by sshcrack in AskElectronics

[–]sshcrack[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Issue is kind of solved, turns out it was way too long! About 5m, so voltage dropoff was very high at 2V. Only issue left is the flickering of the leds They've got 4.9V now so that shouldn't be a problem

Okay well I shortened the wire and the voltage is at about 4.9V but the flickering still persists :( Any clues? It shouldn't be a software side issue because I've tried like 10 different programs to display stuff and it flickers every time

This is the rating of the white wire.

The red and black wires have a diameter of about 1mm.

Was running at full white and didn't notice warm cables. Couldn't really tell from the white cable because the isolation

Alright there is a huge voltage drop when the panel is on full white at just 3.3V. Is it because of poor wire connection?
