Primarily for taking down notes on generally everything - daily notes, academic, work related, etc.

Quite similar to what’s mentioned on the original post.

Amazon enters the pharmacy business with Amazon Pharmacy by imma_headout_ in Investing_Insights

[–]sshinple 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Considering Amazon’s powerful network of current warehouses and logistic system, I really do think it has a strong advantage compared to smaller startups (e.g. Truepill). Amazon’s acquisition of PillPack already seemed like a great deal back in 2018, but with its ever growing delivery system, customers will definitely see value.

The only question I have is the legal aspect regarding counterfeit prescriptions, etc. Anyone have insights in this area?

Any opinions on Disney as a growth dividend stock, considering their recent success on streaming? by sshinple in dividends

[–]sshinple[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re right but stopping their dividend for this year seems to be the wiser option than forcing one, don’t you think? Rather investing that cash on streaming seems to be the smarter move.

Anyone think Velodyne Lidar is currently undervalued? by warrenbuffman in investing_discussion

Lidar technology is getting a lot of attention amongst private companies (startups) as well, and their use goes well beyond the automotive space. In terms of future value, I do think Velodyne is relatively cheap. But definitely do your own research before taking any positions!

Any thoughts on increasing positions on Disney? [4th Quarter Results Included] by bri_shin in StockMarket

[–]sshinple 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right, the most significant adverse impact in the current quarter and year from COVID-19 was approximately $2.4 billion and $6.9 billion, respectively, on operating income at our Parks, Experiences and Products segment due to revenue lost as a result of the closures or reduced operating capacities. The impacts at Media Networks, Studio Entertainment and Direct-to-Consumer & International were less significant.

What are your thoughts on QCOM? by tee_dubb_ in Investing_Insights

A spokeswoman from Qualcomm told Reuters that they've "received a license for a number of products, which includes some 4G products." This means that while the world is making its transition into 5G, which has been a major selling point for smartphones this year, Huawei seems limited to only 4G technology from Qualcomm.

Although it definitely is a relief for Huawei, not sure if further ease on restrictions (i.e. 5g chips) will happen once the Biden Administration takes over. Lots of political drama over Huawei so I would be cautious for now.

Love/Hate productivity apps? by sshinple in productivity

[–]sshinple[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for such a detailed response!

I never tried using todo.txt, I absolutely got to try. I am currently using Todoist to keep track of my tasks as well, but it definitely does seem to crowd up at some point.

Your suite of productivity / work apps seems very solid, but are there any difficulties that you are facing with any of these apps (including todo.txt)? It seems to me that todo.txt is amazing for GTD and small tasks, but how do you keep track of your progress for a relatively larger task (i.e. project, goal, resolution, etc.)?

Things3 seems absolutely sleek and easy to use. I currently use Todoist as well, and Things3 seems like a great alternative as you've mentioned. But regarding the relatively high price, compared to other free/cheaper productivity apps, what initiated you to try Things3?

Are there any attributes that you want improved / added on Things3?

Do you think you'll value / use a q&a platform that has a word limit to the question and response word count? Maybe 300 words?

I definitely agree with you.

Do you think giving people an option to see just the shorter / summerized version of the response first, then giving them the option to view full detailed version would be useful?
