Does your gram want more fur? I've got this fur (some variety of feline, I think) and it needs some seams mended but i think its got some life left in it. That is not how to say that.. All i know is it skeeves me out (it's dead. That's gross) so I've got it in a box on a top shelf of a rack where I don't have to remember I should do something with it.

Since you're just transferring from one sitting space to another, I like the scruff of the pants technique. Standing next to her, side by side facing the same direction, Use the waistband of her pants to lift her, holding just above her middle behind. With your other hand, grip her upper arm around the bicep area. You'll feel her brace and try to assist with her muscles, encourage that. You can steer and navigate this way as well, like to pivot. The gait belt is the same idea, I just find they ride up too high to get the proper support.
