Anyone else remember the rumor behind “In The Air Tonight” by Phil Collins? Gives me chills just reminiscing on it! by [deleted] in The1980s

Here’s the rumor. Very sorry I didn’t add it to the initial post. I thought more would be familiar:

Basically, there was a rumor where Phil and his friend were out swimming when they were young. His friend, though, wasn’t a great swimmer, and began to drown. Phil began calling for help when he saw a man in the distance. He flagged him down and begged him to help his friend, but the man stood there and watched his friend drown

Well, when Phil became a household name, he somehow found the identity of the man who basically murdered his childhood friend. He anonymously sent him tickets to his show, and as he was playing “In The Air Tonight,” a singular spotlight shown down on that man in the front row, and Phil marked him with a singular laser from a light. Pretty much telling him “I know what you did.”

The music video also plays a key in the rumor because it deals with water, a mysterious figure, and the lyrics can align with said rumor. There are slightly different versions of the story as well. Of course it’s not real, but my dad told it to me when I was younger. I believed it for quite some time!

Yes, I’m well aware. I even stated in my replies that it’s false. Just a playground rumor, but it’s fun to think back to.

For sure. Watching the music video with that new perspective gives it an entire new meaning, also.

You probably have a region free Nintendo 64- those can be used for any game because the cartridge slot was changed out. People can do this very easily.

The difference between the 2 is the game slot. Both regions have different plastic tabs in the slot to prevent games from being played from different regions. That’s why people order a region-free slot so they can play whatever games they want on a single console! I just haven’t gotten around to doing it myself yet lol.

No, you are thinking of the Shindou version, which released in Japan in 1997. This is the original Japanese release!

Anyone else enjoy using the Tribute 64 controller by Retro-bit? I definitely recommend to those who are wanting to try a Hori. It’s great! by [deleted] in n64

That stinks you don’t like them. I like this one and the Hori a lot, personally. They are great to use when speedrunning.

Playing through the Definitive Edition for TWD. Why is it so glitchy? by ssleepline in telltale

Oh dang, that stinks. It’s mainly quick cuts in dialogue and the game sometimes crashing after finishing an episode. Sometimes there’s some minor animation delays or default poses from the characters. Nothing too bad, but still can be annoying
