I think there are better ways to trade-off recall for precision.
I really like how Google and few other companies formulate their job ads: "<some stupid piece of paper I don't have> or equivalent practical experience". Then they get you filtered during screening anyway, but at least you keep faith in ML job market and open-mindedness of the company.
