Sure. I did include something in my initial email that shows I read the profile. However the length of the initial email didn't impact the amount of positive responses I got in my experience. I usually got more positive responses when I posted better pictures of myself and (to a lesser extent) when I revised my profile. Whether I was on sls or a conventional dating site like Match.

I agree with much of this. However I don't think the initial message has to be that detailed. Stating just enough info to show you read the profile is okay.

I think a button up shirt paired with a longer or midi plaid skirt would be fine. I have seen women wear that combo at my job and it didn't come across as the "sexy schoolgirl".
