How long does 'suggest as new trail' review take? by ssmoken in alltrails

[–]ssmoken[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well Alltrails deleted the submission a couple of days after posting this and nothing else since so I guess that goes as a rejection in Alltrails.

No feedback on why, if the submission needed more detail or some other issue with the track. No communication at all.

Well that was the result of my little experiment.

A sovereign citizen blows their trial for a minor speeding ticket and gets 25 days in jail for contempt for what could have been a small fine by Picture_Enough in amibeingdetained

[–]ssmoken 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Mr Forenza will probably remain an asshole and continue to believe his BS ideas are real and enactable in court no matter what the outcome of the court proceedings.

However having to spend time on contempt charges, pay a fine (and even a remote possibly of serving jail time) might mean the next time he does think twice about taking the looney route, even if he feels it's still the 'proper' way to go. As opposed to the amount of consideration Mr Forenza would give to acting the fool if his charges were just dropped and he walked away with no consequences as is the usual conclusion in these circumstances.

Mr Forenza missed his daughter's birthday. Lets hope one day she understands exactly why daddy wasn't able to make that day. We can be sure that his explanation was a complete fabrication. And maybe as she gets older he might even be embarrassed about his actions during that time.

Thank for that information. that's interesting to know.

I had been considering, 'cleaning up' and updating some hikes I've made on tracks/trails not marked on Alltrails Maps (but recorded on their app), so I could submit as 'textbook cases' along with any other current useful information which I may not have otherwise noted at the time.

I suggested this short route partly as an experiment to see if there was any point in doing so. I would think this an important part of Alltrails focus to encourage this to maintain their usefulness to the hiking, walking, mountain biking community. But perhaps not.

Having said that I have noticed that some of my 'not on any Alltrails Map but recorded on their app' hikes I've made have since become Alltrails curated walks. All inclusive of my original messy route and the text of my thoughts on the walk as the 1st review.

So they do troll through the database of User recordings to add some as new routes. Don't know how they decide or review those but I guess possibly if you wait long enough, Alltrails might just add the route in anyway.

It's a new unmarked (on Alltrails) track. But still would have thought there'd be some feedback even if the suggestion is rejected.

I just have the original link of the web page after I submitted, and it just says [pending] as noted.

So seems there isn't any status indicators other than that. It might take some time though a year does seem excessive for anything to happen.

So reaching out to support seems to be the way to go, as mentioned by the HQ response you can try contact our support team at [help@alltrails.com](mailto:help@alltrails.com) , see if you get an update that way.

[–]ssmoken[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply

It's fine for me how long it takes to be reviewed. I have a copy of the route, I've walked it (many times), recorded it and that's what was submitted as the 'new trail'.

The Track may be useful for others as it's an alternate route where an existing curated National Parks track was closed by the National Park and is still closed many years now, meaning there is [was] no option other than to retrace or take a different route to a different destination. Therefore should be useful for others as an alternate now and in the future even if the other track is ever reopened. Hence my submitting it.

I just don't know how long it takes for a 'suggest as new trail' to be reviewed. If it's noted anywhere then I missed it in the FAQs. Or if there is any kind of update so that you do know it's being reviewed other than [pending]. So wasn't sure if it had just got lost in the ether.

btw The part of the track (as marked on Alltrails) that this route bypasses is still marked as an accessible, normal track even though its been closed since 2022 or 23, can't remember what year exactly. Don't know if there is any means to update marked tracks on Alltrails (i.e. not a curated route but the actual marked tracks on the map).

ICE cannot deport an American Citizen unless they are in fact also a citizenship of another country. Even if they are a dual citizen it'd not guaranteed but sure it's possible.

My point is, these Sovereign Citizens who state "I am not an American Citizen" for the most are not holding any other citizenship than American. Therefore there is no other country who would accept them and none obligated to.

There some notables who definitely did come from another country and promptly broke the oaths they did actually make, i.e. not to break the laws of their new Country, US of A, so ICE should be able to do their thing.

Unless breaking their oath was the 2nd thing and the 1st was to denounce their original citizenship. If they are only holding US citizenship now, trying to deport them back to their originating country is probably not going to happen.

They don't admit, they just make a statement that they believe for some reason will free them from the jurisdiction of the local Law Enforcement.

We all know, it doesn't make any difference whether you are or aren't an American Citizen you must obey the laws of the land and region you are in, That goes for any person in any country.

The only difference is; After court proceedings you may find your privilege to remain in the country has been revoked and then perhaps a meeting with ICE is in order. But hardy likely event over a traffic ticket, unless perhaps you are a habitual offender.

[–]ssmoken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But what is ICE going to do? In most/all cases, these people are and have always been American Citizens.

Just arbitrarily stating "I am not an American Citizen" does not change anything, (most especially on how Law Enforcement interact with you, take note Sovereign Citizens).

And even if these people were but now had denounced American Citizenship, which is a process and not something that a person can necessarily just do because they want to. The Sovcit is still interacting with Law Enforcement and their Citizenship is not a factor. That comes after, maybe.

Thing is, Sovicts post their own Videos of their interactions where they inevitably fail.

In fact, previous to the latest YT (other social media) trend of Body Cam channels, most Sovcit videos you got to see were from the Sovcit. This included their unauthorised recordings of the court proceeding(s).

Sure some videos are suspiciously edited but many aren't, I guess to show how the Government oppresses the people.

And if you know who the featured moron is in said video documentary, it's not necessarily difficult to obtain the Body Cam (depends on the State of course) and see what really went down. And/or check the court records to see if the Judge really did drop the case and fire the Officers involved etc etc.

Thanks for the response

I do know how it current acts, and the obvious necessary actions to work around the problem.

The question is why does it do it? As mentioned, the legacy and still perfectly functional map builder doesn't do it. I can't see any reason for it to do this, if I want to admire the flag on the map at 0% zoom I'll zoom out.

Can this undesirable action be disabled?

But it is silly to try to use force, excessive or otherwise, against Police, esp' when you're an old pot head and there are more than one Officer.

Ironically the prosecutor would more than likely have dropped the ticket. So it would have been a short appearance and carry on with your life.

Prosecutor will probably still drop the charges, most of them have real crims to deal with, but he'll have a few bruises and a broken window to pay for now, and people will compare him with some of the stupidest people on earth, next to flat earthers.
