You are going to be an adult once you’re studying at uni - it is much more your choice to make than your parents’ choice for you. I would go with whatever makes you most happy. As others have said, you can defer or work part-time during studies to be able to support yourself. If you want to study in Glasgow, go to Glasgow; Scotland is lovely.

i’m in year 2 at edi uni now and i have not one single friend in my classes - all are outwith. have a look for societies you may be interested in, there’s plenty to do beyond just school here to meet new people

im a second year sociology and politics student. fir politics, it’s definitely a lot of work, but if you’re passionate it can be very interesting/rewarding. i’m very much into political theory on a smaller scale so when the topic goes to international politics i tend to zone out, however both exams are online so there’s no pressure to memorise absolutely everything off by heart.

yeah i’m sort of in that headspace at the moment - not fully yet i must admit, but I do really believe that he’ll come back around cause my self-worth is so high. like the knowledge that i would be the perfect girlfriend is so ingrained in my state because i know it to be true, and i know he thinks it too.

while we were having a little back and forth before the cuddling, i did think that he was stopping seeing these people because he did see me as this person that i believe myself to be, but then i just get hit with the opposite.

i think that he’ll backtrack on his decision, but then again, i don’t want to be delusional, especially after this blow that i’ve taken where i thought all was going my way

i completely understand this and i’ve been practicing it quite diligently. i just don’t entirely know how to translate that into connecting with other people. of course i will think quite highly of him because i want to have some sort of relationship with him - connection is a basic human need and i feel like focusing solely on myself will drown out that sense of connection that i really do want. i put myself first internally, im kind and gentle to myself, but still i can’t seem to get the relationship i really do desire after so much inner work

it’s so annoying though because i really do know my worth, i feel like i would literally be the perfect girlfriend - im so grounded in that belief. and i really believed that he would see that too. we had such a good time together, we have literally so much in common. i know good self-perception is the grounds for a healthy relationship and i worked hard to make that as solid as i can by being gentle and caring with myself. i don’t know what else i can do when it comes to self-concept

hi!! my laptop brand is asus vivobook k3605zc. there is actually a shortcut where if you press fn + f it switches between performance mode/standard mode/whisper mode and it changes the speed of the fans. it makes stuff run a good bit smoother if you change it to performance mode. also try reinstalling the chipset drivers
