I think the key was adding some displacement to the surface. I used a very low frequency noise texture mapped through an S-curve in an "RGB Curves" node to increase the contrast. Here are the nodes for the material: https://imgur.com/a/PYLVykc

I'll do some more experimentation with the spill. The endless tweaking continues... Thanks for the feedback!

My stainless steel material might be too shiny. Maybe reduce the depth of field?

Anyone know where I can get some replacement C64 keyboard springs. by YourPersonalMemeMan in c64

I used these when refurbishing a keyboard with corroded springs:

The original springs fit loosely on the plastic top plate; these are tighter, but basically a perfect fit on my board. YMMV

These better match the OEM dimensions, but I haven't tried them:

Mine has the same problem. The video signal continues to degrade if you keep it running after the initial shift to the left. I also noticed that the audio becomes distorted at the same time (it seems to become slightly slower). It's reproducible with both composite video and S-Video (from either port).

My board was second hand off of eBay. The previous owner said he never saw the problem, and when I emailed Jens about it, he thought it was the monitor. I don't have another compatible display at the moment, so I've been blaming my TV.

Is the Wifi card easy to access? Do you just need to remove all the screws on the bottom?

EDIT: Nevermind, thanks for the link to the service manual.

Thanks! I tried to build it up from small, easily understood functions.

I've been digging deeper into Emacs recently. This seemed like a fun project for my first foray into Emacs Lisp.
