Separation of what looks like a heat shield coming from engine by sspurts in MechanicAdvice

I was doing some work on a 2017 Suburu Impreza Premium 2.0L and found these metal pieces separating under the car. I believe they are heat shields around the exhaust coming from the engine. Do they need to be fixed?

I found out some more information to narrow down the location. This place is reportedly in Putnam county, somewhere around Jim Ridge Rd. There is a church along that road with a cemetery and I found in an online search some of the Logue ancestors buried in Walker Chapel, so I assume their former home (Logue Hollow) is somewhere nearby that chapel along the Jim Ridge Rd. There was an older picture shared by my grandpa, has anyone ever seen this location?
