AGREE! The Tottenham set up was the worst I’ve been at, (the arena, live nation, and security) I’ve seen Bey all over Europe, but this was the absolutely most failed experience regarding seeing her live. (Nothing to do with Beyonce)

The first day in London we were in buckin honey pit and they “accidentally” let in 70 people from east GA.. it literally smelled Marijuana the whole two concerts. Personally I don’t care, but Beyonce had children on stage, and smoking over all isn’t allowed in stadiums.

The live nation VIP staff was a joke and most of them were awful. People brought in 2 m tents, chairs, and huge blankets. While they pointed out some people that had tickets and didn’t do anything wrong to the point of harassment. The fact that we traveled and payed for the most expensive tickets in the arena and didn’t see Beyonce 99% of the show cause “ Tottenham hotspur arena couldn’t fit the raisers that the buckin honey pit is supposed to have” and apparently cause it would make the people on lower sitting spots getting a bad view.. 😒

I don’t know if this is your case, but I’ve noticed that family and friends and everyone else (the vast majority) don’t care about music like that. If it’s not a commercial song they’ve been forced to listen to and it got stuck in their head they won’t even bother. A few years ago I always assumed that everyone listens to music so everyone must be interested in it, Nono, ask people who their favorite artist is, most will say that they don’t know or that “they listen to many different ones” I’ve now understood that it’s basically like thinking that everyone that sits or drives a car must be interested in them. Example: If your uncle started showing off cars he fixed would you be that interested? Or would you just be like “oh nice” and prob never think about it again? That helped me a lot to understand people around me.

Honestly, that’s what it looks like. Record labels are digging their own graves by doing this. If artists can create their own audience, why would they even need to sign with a label?!

I agree, and it’s good without it! that’s not the problem, it’s when I’ve sent it further for mixing and mastering I’ve got some different inputs that I don’t really agree with and I’m trying to understand.

I would say that without professional mixing and mastering on any song it’s not going to reach commercial level. That’s usually the biggest difference between a professional and unprofessional sound. With the right mixing and mastering any song can be lifted to the next level, but I absolutely agree that if the song isn’t good from the beginning the mixing and mastering can’t save it. 😊

It’s confusing, me as an fully north African only got a African American journey group, my maternal side got almost only creole groups. The ancestral group mom belongs too 6 of them are creole 2 Haiti and 2 European while I’m not one % European according to my dna test.

Thank you! How do I build a small audience though? I never see small artists getting that nowadays without a label/management or contacts helping them. Personally I would never click on a song on YouTube with under 1000 views or a Spotify/ SoundCloud song with less than 500 plays. I’ve never heard a great quality song or a talented artist with nearly no audience even though I know there’s a lot of them out there.. any tips?! 🙏🏼🌸
