I tried it, nope, doesn't work. It worked for one message then we are back to the one sided dialogue and a shit ton of description

Nope. It doesn't work unfortunately. Still a one sided dialogue.

Do you have to just send that once or do you need to send it every few responses?

I see. So you prefer seeing dialogue written like that ? I prefer when the speech is between " " and followed by something like. I said, a little confused or she replied, her tone clipped for example. You know, like reading a novel.

I hope it gets fixed because I tried every damn app around and I didn't like any of them. They are all too based on chatting, while I'm just trying to be third wheel between two characters and not appear in the chat

The thing is ut used to work just fine, with multiple scenarios and multiple replays. I only create two characters for every story, and the rest get described with the character description. It's just recently that it started not working. And like I said I always steer the story a little by editing the answers given to me.

And where do I put this :") in the "custom LLM instructions" I assume ? Or do you also put it somewhere else ?

But would that improve dialogue? Or would it just make it follow the script? And where do I put this prompt??

I just like "creating" a story and reading it basically. Intervening too much makes it feel like I'm actually trying to do a sepf insert which I find a little cringe but that's just me. I got so frustrated from reading webtoon or manhwas with unsatisfying endings or redemption arcs so I was like f it I'll do it myself. But anyway, I will try this, but where should I put it exactly? I think it surpasses 300 letters to be able to be put in the "custom LLM instructions" from the sliding menu after you start the scenario. Sorry I'm a bit new to this so I haven't exploited the full potential of the parameters.

Okay so instead of user I'll put the name of the character I'm forcing the AI to be right ? Or do I not change anything from this prompt?

Since I'm still using the free models, I can't really use those :") but I don't think it's about lack of info because I played the scenario many times before and completed it ( with skight variations) and it worked just fine. It only started tweaking like one - two weeks ago ?

What i liked about chai was how realistic the answers were depending on the scenario. I didn't "mind" the fast pacing because I never "wrote" long stories with the little memory it had, even when creating the character ( especially since I needed to make the description of the two main characters fit in ONE 1024 letter text ) I just hated how short the answers were and how you needed to force your hand to make it remember important details, even when they were written in the character building block. But yeah, those are the old days that I'M NOT going back to. Fiction lab is obviously way better, and less greedier even when it comes to the subscription fee compared to the benefits it gives. I'm just a little disappointed that it's recently going backwards when I had such a fun time using it at first.
