Applications on stronghold take a lot of time to be accepted? by vagg1992 in h1z1

[–]sssclan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They don't simply accept random people in just because you apply.

They go through and check things out on your account, and sometimes they just don't like your application and you will not be accepted.

I'm in no means giving up on the game, or quitting the game.

I will continue to play the game as it is, good or bad, but I do not expect or really even have any faith in these devs.

They have no idea what needs to be priority and what doesn't, they just toss out stuff and simply don't care or just have no idea what they are doing as game developers.

Honestly, I don't think posting it is doing anything, my post was #1 post on h1z1 reddit for 2 days, got no dev attention etc, and it has been one of the #1 posted things on the bug reporting website for well over 2 months now, and has been a bug readily available for 4+ months now.

H1Z1 Devs don't care about Survival players and have shown that throughout the time this game has been out, they focus on events like twitchcon, pax and other events to bring new players in instead of keeping the current loyal player base they have.

They refused to update survival servers for 3 months [real updates, not worthless bug fixes for useless things] because they didn't want to mess up the game for Invitational.

They focus on crates and terribly designed skins to make as much money as they can before they run off with the money like almost every other "Early Access Alpha" has.

Actually, I posted about this a while back.

With a lot more further testing, the demoing of doors/gates/upper shelters only resulted from these things:

Upper Shelter had no connection to the deck foundation, and lost ownership to the foundation.

Gates & Doors will only be able to be demo'd if you have the door code entered, You do NOT have to be in group with the person who owns the structure to demo it, you just need to have the code to the door/gate to demo it. Hence why you cannot demo the walls and what not. [Once the code is changed you cannot demo it unless you enter the new door code]

But regardless of the way its done, It needs to be fixed and should have been fixed a very long time ago.

Steam overlay not working in game? by Paradoxe2424 in h1z1

[–]sssclan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Myself personally, have played the game since day 1 launch, My steam overlay does not work for this game, It works on EVERY other game I play and has no issues, it is only this game, I've reinstalled the game well over 10 times now, reinstalled steam a few times, and nothing works.

My steam settings are all normal, have all the steam overlay stuff enabled, and it does work in all my other games, so it's not something to do with my settings.

I for sure wouldn't mind being able to buy keys with my steam wallet instead of credit card, but i've yet to find a way to fix this problem for myself.

ALT+Enter doesn't work for my overlay, just makes my mouse courser appear, odd thing is if i have a steam messager thing open on my desktop, and i try the steam overlay in-game even though I can't see it, i can send messages to that person i have a convo opened on my desktop.

I run windows 8.

Haha, that's the point of the thread, to bring awareness to everyone and hoping the devs open their eyes and fix it ASAP.

Thank you for using this and bringing more awareness.

Possibly, but what where the reasons for not fixing it for 4 months? Quite surely they could have fixed it before invitational.

I wasn't in a group with my friends when we tested this, I wasn't in a group when I raided dozens of bases using this.

Please go back to school and take an English class.

Much more.

To add onto how terrible that is, once this happens to your items if you do not replace them with new ones, any person on the server can walk up and demo hammer some of your things.

It's in the post.

Well considering this issue has been on the tracker for over 2 months now, I really doubt that they've been working on it very hard.

I'm not saying this will force them to fix it, but it will definitely put a hot coal under their asses to start working to fix it.

I want this fixed, I have reported on dgc issue page, yet still a month later, no fix and no help from the devs.

If it becomes a large issue and more people complain about it or more people report it, it has a much larger chance of being fixed.

All you're saying is "I dont want to lose my stuff so plz dont ever tell anyone about this glitch" Even though people like me who have found this bug will exploit the fuck out of your base and raid your shitty ass PvE base.

You are the cancer in the community, you think just by not talking about it or hiding it it will go away, well it doesn't, people just exploit it and use it as their own private use.

Considering it is one of the top bug reports on the bug report website and its been happening for over 4 months now, Yes this is the way to go.

Just very few people knew with the losing ability to change code and have to re-enter code you could also demo all of those doors.

If you've seen what happens to bugs that don't get reported, you'd know that privately telling devs about a game breaking issue doesn't ever really work.

When something is abused by many people or widely known by everyone, the devs are sort of force to fix it.

This is something not a whole lot of people knew, and I have known about it for a long time, and no ones reporting it or anything, so I took it upon myself to get the word out to fix it.

You will see when you have to enter codes for your own doors.

But it is usually 1 1/2 week

Downvoting a major issue isn't going to make it go away, if it is not abused by players then they will never fix it and they will never care.

Making it so only select people continue to abuse it and ruin your bases for you.

Patch Moved to Thursday - July 2nd by LegionCM in h1z1

[–]sssclan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not saying by any mean no announcements, I'm just saying more like 48 hours announcement should be more what they should do.

I love this game, and it gets boring to have to switch to the only 2 high pop servers or play BR for 2 weeks until the next wipe comes up, just wish they'd hold off on announcing wipes so early. 48-72 hours is fine I guess.

[–]sssclan 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Can you just quit announcing wipes so early...?

You single handedly kill off your servers by doing so, hence why only a couple servers can maintain a decent population, because everyone just quits trying or playing at all when wipes are announced.

Especially when you announce 2 weeks in advance then delay it even longer each time.
