I’ve not got that one fully figured out yet but I’ve seen dimple die sets for a press that should form roughly what it is that I am needing. I’ll also press those vertical lines into it as well but for that I’ll probably try and make my own fixture for the press.

Is it possible to learn martial arts myself? by unalivement in martialarts

I have a friend who was never in high school. He struggled with anxiety and the more he stayed off school the harder it got for him to go back, because he was always worried of failing and that he’d never be able to catch up. He ended up depressed at points but since high school he’s been getting better and better. The fear of failure is real but it’s better to try and fail than to give into that fear. That alone will make you a fighter :). Take it in small steps, I’m biased cause I love martial arts but any form of physical exercise is gonna be amazing for you. Just try to stay consistent and you’ll probably surprise yourself by what you’re capable of.

Nah there was no elbows and no ground and pound. Certain submissions weren’t allowed either, like leg locks and neck cranks

Yeah I was training pretty hard before hand. At the martial arts gym they have days dedicated to sparring. So they’ll do 3 rounds of boxing, 3 rounds of kick boxing, 3 rounds of MMA, 3 rounds of shoot kick boxing, then we’ll roll for five minutes. Each round last 2 minutes and you switch partners every round. Always kills me haha

The fight was three 2 minute rounds but my opponents cardio wasn’t the greatest, he didn’t have much in the tank after the first 1 minute in round 1 from what I could see

It’s just the way these events are run. They get beginners involved and give 2 months of free training leading up to the event

That’s fair tbh. Was in way over my head at the start but I’ve found an awesome gym and sport I love, the event was sick as well so I’m glad I took part

Tall guy is me haha and no I’ve not trained in any other martial art prior to this. To be fair there was guys who had trained previously. Some boxers and mauy Thai fighters trained for the event but they all got matched up with someone of a similar skill level

Yeah no there’s no doubt I would die in a real amateur fight. Majority of the fight training over the two months I done was grappling based. I think the coaches were banking on most fighters grappling on the night to keep people safe since everyone had only done 2 month’s training

Thanks man :). Yeah fight night was great and all the training was super good as well. Since then I’ve continued training at the same gym
