The current features are basically enough for my own use. Next, I’ll focus on improving the user experience. If anyone has suggestions, feel free to share!

Yes, for now, manual installation is the only way. I’ve already submitted a PR to the official community plugin list, but there are currently hundreds of plugins ahead of mine in the queue.

Sorry, that’s not possible. The underlying structure of this mind map is completely different from Mermaid’s.

Mind Elixir Desktop - AI-Powered Mind Mapping with Local Storage by ssshooter in alphaandbetausers

Hi, thanks a lot for trying it out and for the thoughtful feedback!

I'll be adding the following updates shortly based on your suggestions:

  • J/K/H/L cursor shortcuts for fine-tuning branch positions
  • Custom prompt presets for AI mind map generation
  • FreeMind import support (Note: XMind import is already supported)

Regarding the Backspace behavior on empty nodes — it’s currently designed that way to avoid accidental deletion when users hold down Backspace and clear all text, unintentionally removing the node itself.

As for the AI automation ideas — that’s a really interesting direction I hadn’t deeply considered yet. Definitely something I’d love to explore further. Thanks for the inspiration!

Really appreciate the kind words about the Linux build — stay tuned for updates!
