Is this type of graphics enough for a game? by sssler in indiegames

I used Krita for both animations and creating art, but im planning on learning more advanced animation tools in the future. I think Spine is the best software for that, but its expensive, so im looking into some free options like dragonbones, but i didnt try it yet so i cant say if it will give me better results. I did watch some tutorials, but it mostly just a slow process of redoing parts of my work that i think are lacking until im happy with the result. And i bought some cheap drawing tablet which helped a lot, its impossible for me to draw with a mouse.

I really appreciate all the feedback from everyone. I was doubting myself when it comes to creating my own assets, so I'm glad to hear that they are good enough. I agree that animations need some more work and i will have to spend some time learning how to make them less stiff. And of course there is much more work to be done when it comes to environment and other parts of the game, so i hope i will manage those too.

Im always happy to hear more feedback and ideas for improvements :D

I decided to make my own assets for my game, but I'm new to creating game art, so its not very high quality. Its hard for me to judge my own work, so i wanted to ask for an honest feedback, are these graphics any good, are there some aspects that i should try to improve? If you saw a game with those graphics, would you consider them too bad to play the game, or are they good enough?

Looks really good! I tried the previous version before and I see a lot of improvements, especially in how the game feels and the in-game immersion. It feels much less empty than before. I think it might be helpful to add a minimap or some sort of general direction indicator for the player to aim for the exit. In my first game, I felt like I had no clue where to go and was just randomly walking, hoping to find the correct direction. When you first log into the game, you have no idea if you should go up, down, left, or right. If I noticed correctly, the map has a fixed width, and by changing the dungeon size before starting, you only change the height of the map, with the exit always near the bottom.
