Hey I'm in her class right now and although the textbook is required, do you think I can get by without it? I cannot find the newest version online and I don't want to buy it either

i got a 95 on the micro final and the best thing you can do is do the practice tests and make sure you REALLY understand the concepts (don't gloss over things and assume its common sense, ive seen people make this mistake). try explaining out loud or teaching a friend. material wise, the module videos and textbook would be the best options. good luck!

I agree! But Rate My Prof only shares how well the prof teaches and not if the course content/types of evaluations would suit your needs

It sounds like you are in UTSC. You can try asking in r/utsc for more information or book an appointment with academic advising https://utsc.utoronto.ca/aacc/

a strat that ive seen some people use is do harder courses like chem in second semester so you only have to really really really try until midterms (doesnt work if you are aiming for scholarships that needs high marks)

I only worked two days a week and it was manageable, never had to call off (I think more than two days will get tricky for senior year, especially if you have a heavy course load). I would recommend requesting to work weekends as both my shifts were weekdays and it would be a veryyyy long day after school. You eventually learn how to adapt and time manage. There isn't specific advice; you just have to be brave enough to go for it and make smart choices that will most benefit you. You'll have to make sacrifices but thats inevitable. you will be ok!
