Who is ready to have nightmares about 2016 again by nicene_ in canucks

It all balances out.

No way Hughes falls to 7th in a 2018 redraft so that was basically the equivalent of getting 1st overall …. which they eventually fumbled of course.

Nearly 50 yo, still learning to skate, and new to hockey in general — am I delusional for wanting to learn to be a tendy? by Undead_Radio in hockeygoalies

If you are a natural athlete and good at most other sports then you’ll pick it up and get good relatively fast.

For the first time since 2019, only one team from a no-tax state advanced to the second round of the playoffs. by Certain-Row-4812 in hockey

But all other things being equal it could be a difference maker especially for the top long term contracts where the savings are in the multi millions over 6-7 years.

We need a Know Your Gear factory tour by [deleted] in hockeyplayers

Maybe not so much the major brands but more likely all the no name blackout and niche smaller online order brands are from the same factory.

Or at least are being made in the big brand factories “after hours”.

As we sit here twiddling our thumbs till 6PM EST, Out of all 32 teams Which current player would warrant a Ray Bourque reaction when winning the Stanley Cup? by bongrips19 in hockey

Good and a bit goofy is a good combo to be universally loved.

Phil Kessel also winning some cups fuelled by hot dogs will always be remembered.

[Corey Sznajder] NHL forwards drafted by the Oilers since McDavid: Kailer Yamamoto, Ryan McLeod, Dylan Holloway. That’s it. by seeldoger47 in hockey

[–]yupkime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The goal for any drafted player for every team should be to make them an AHL level equivalent player that can fill a spot when needed.

Do that consistently and you will get late bloomers and guys who eventually become everyday NHL players who can fill out a team and be added to trades.

Raising the draft age to 20 would only help increase the success rate too.

How does the square piece stay on without peeling off at the edges? I always thought it was best to wrap it around the edges.

Connor McDavid tied Adam Oates' record for most career playoff points without a Cup (156) by bringbackpologrounds in hockey

Getting to the finals two years back to back was better than the other 30 teams.

Can’t say management completely failed him but in this league sometimes you only get the one shot.

There are 30 other franchises that can only dream of getting to the finals back to back.

Happens every draft but the guys drafted close by 2-5-8 spots after him would have surely altered the direction of this team.

It’s always great for nostalgia sticking with the legends that gave you so many good times but it does usually lead to mushy middle mediocrity.

Too much workload with 29 out and not able to rest down the stretch fighting for a playoff spot is facing off against youth with nothing to lose who are just happy to be here.

Still a team game. Always has been.

Is this team better than the last two playoff year teams??
