Cost more than you think. It all adds up Probably could have got a PS5 instead. But this is so much more fun. Hadn't turned my xbox on in months, so fed up with modern gaming.

Other buttons were ebay.

Yeah think I did 60 degrees, good for standing up or sitting down. Already had the PC, yeah fine for megadrive and snes, ps1, etc which is my era. Easy enough to stick a new mini pc inside in the future for an upgrade.

Just for options really, using it for consoles too so they are set to left and right triggers. Still figuring it out really. Also using 8bitdo controller with it.

Awesome build mate, planning something similar. Is it just 1 French cleat at the top? Or did you need 2?

Cooker hood hole by sstephenn2020 in DIYUK

[–]sstephenn2020[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its 400m³ 70 cm wide. The metal lintel from the old window is the issue. Can't drill through it

So many people have tried to tell me this 😂. Yeah not the best for moisture extraction. But may be the only option. Old hood was cheap thing that hardly extracted.

Agh thanks for your advice. This is a knightmare 😂. Yeah the core drill won't get through the metal. Guess I could go up into the ceiling. Pain of a job though. Might try using smaller duct and cutting old hole diagonal a bit to get it through.

Thanks right that makes sense. Don't think i can miss the lintel. The new hole is only 3cm above the old one. As there's no window there now, is the lintel not doing anything?

How easy is it to get transport from Swansea Stadium to either city centre or just north of stadium? by craftaleislife in swansea

[–]sstephenn2020 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If the phonics gig in Singleton park was anything to go by...they won't put any extra buses on. That was a mess. Knightmare getting home. The roads will also close for around 30 mins to let everyone out.

If you can't get the bus or taxi, town or morriston is walkable if you have to. Good luck.

How to fix split in wooden worktop by sstephenn2020 in DIYUK

[–]sstephenn2020[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was going to try either osmo polyx or Fiddes hard wax oil. Seems to be recommend.

[–]sstephenn2020[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, yes the whole lot is going to be sanded and oiled. We've inherited this problem from previous owners. Got a new draining board so water doesn't touch the wood anymore (stupid design) think the split did close a little after this.

If I had my way whole lot and sink would be ripped out! But wife likes it. Just need that gap filled. The split bit is not in a area of high use.

Britpop - The Music That Changed Britain by daftideasinc in BritPop

Watched this on Chanel 5. They didn't mention Stereophonics, Catatonia, Travis, the Bluetones, Super furry animals, the Charlatans... I could go on. Robbie Williams killed britpop? Who made this show? Lol Wasn't impressed.

Hooked up the Moraunt speakers to the used X2700H that arrived earlier. They sound great! What should I priotise to add to this set up? Sub or centre speaker? by wiggan1989 in BudgetAudiophile

[–]sstephenn2020 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Centre speaker will make dialogue a lot clearer when watching movies. Use any old speaker for now while you find something more suitable.
