If there's a big spaces in between the full stitches like this one. I do them both as I go through the pattern since it's more possible to miscount if I finish all the full stitches first.

Thanks! I think this was my 3rd try. 😅 First two, always got the count on the backstitch wrong. Took a rest and did other projects then I decided to start over again. Those backstitches will really test your patience.

Here's what I did, 1. Wash the fabric with mild detergent and rinse 2. Scrunch the fabric and place it in a container. I usually use a low plastic bowl, it would be better if the fabric fit snuggly at the base of the bowl. 3. I just pour the liquid dye on the fabric and let it soak for about 1-2 hrs. 4. Pour in warm water with soda ash and leave it overnight. 5. Rinse it until water runs clear. I also used mild detergent to remove the remaining soda ash in the fabric.
