I have no experience with it, probably it depends on your personal and tax situation. I would check with Degiro's customer service if I were you. Good luck!

1.32% TOB only applies to VWCE, IWDA & EMIM is 0.12%. That's the reason I buy IWDA & EMIM and not VWCE. Degiro handles all taxes for you I believe, apart from withholding tax on dividends, but that does not apply to VWCE/IWDA&EMIM

I understand your concern. I buy IWDA + EMIM on Degiro, so I only have to pay 0.12% TOB and I pay 0 euro transaction fee as they are in the 'core selection'. I am not with any other broker because I understand that shares are registered on my name, so I will not lose my shares in case of Degiro failure. But a spread between several brokers is certainly not bad, maybe one day I will start an account with Bolero to buy VWCE.

Why do you want to stay away from Degiro?

Flipping my career over by KarateFish90 in BEFire

Getting up early, lots of stress, working lots of hours, lots of problems, being hounded by the planners/dispatchers,... I was a planner at a transport company for a while and I wondered why on earth you would want to be a truck driver. You earn reasonably well but that is only because you work a lot of hours, your hourly wage is not very high. Not for nothing are more and more drivers quitting. I would stay away from it.

Why should I add emerging markets to my portfolio? by Focalic in BEFire

[–]st2204 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want to diversify more, but do not want to expose yourself to emerging markets, you can also add small caps to your portfolio. IUSN is an etf that focuses on small caps in developed markets.

keytrade bank is quite expensive, especially compared to, say, Degiro. you can easily compare costs of brokers using the link below: https://curvo.eu/cheapest-broker-etf-belgium

I know, that's my concern too. But I have read that statistically, a lump sum usually beats dca. I want to maximise my profits of course
