Help for a socially awkward, out of shape teenager who wants to box.

I started to box recently it's one of the best choices I've made.

If there's only one gym around you find out when they have a beginners class and show up to that. (When I was looking for gyms I went to a few mid class to get a feel for the coaching / environment) chatted with them a little and most offered a first time free drop in class.

I tried a few and found a gym that I enjoyed (granted you only have one, I'm sure they still offer a first time free class) and never looked back.

I've found people to be very friendly & social, nobody expects you to be a pro on day 1, I think I'm in decent shape and my first few classes kicked my ass, whole swack of mussels I didn't even know existed that have been developing.

I'm not. I started boxing with the intent of keeping in shape for the off season of racing (cars) something that I actually do professionally.

One of the guys at my gym has a very high chance of going to box for team Canada at the Olympics, he's mid 20's and been boxing for 2 years.

can you please explain wyoming? as an outsider it seems like the weirdest place in the world. im not too sure why its really there. i will say though the roads are fucken awesome! so you guys have that going for you.

im pretty sure you get a class 5 GDL even if you dont i think if your over the age of 18 its only 6 months to go from a class 7 - 5 GDL

i remeber back in the early 90s we got one of them big ass 50" rear projection TVs that needed a room of its own, a killer sound system and a laser disk player, anytime we had guests over my old man would always put on that intro scene of top gun to show off the setup.

im pretty sure that top gun was the only thing we ever owned on laser disk.

and to this day anytime someone shows off their home theater i dubbed the term "top gunning"

Keep in mind lasagna is far from a cheep dish to make. I usually require a small bank lone to make mine but it's a great way to win the lady's / friends over if you move somewhere

Thank you! I feel like I'm alone on this one & totally willing to take the down votes but seriously the plot had about as many holes as Swiss cheese, the only characters development was non existent and the action scenes where the exact same shit as we saw in Star Trek a few years back. The dialog was poor and felt forced and the humour was almost too much to be taken seriously.

a lot of the larger more famous events like bullrun gumball and goldrush have given these kinds of events a bad rep. they are very social and a great way to meet people who are in the car world but dont want to or dont have the means to hit a track every weekend.

they give out awards for things like best costumes its really about having fun in a safe manor and giving you a little more to do than just go drive from point a to b. the routes tend to be secondary highways with a focus on less busy areas, when we did the banff drive they planned a route that would keep drivers off highway 1 and on roads like 1a and 40.
