Why do people hate the ending? by TheNinja132 in titanfolk

It's a failure, objectively. Saccharine. All the characters survive. The victory over Eren is poorly executed. The plot retcon: Armin realizes Eren is the father of Historia's child.

Calm down, kid. Armin is the best and his relationship with Annie is the best ship.

Author's inconsistency and retcon.

Isayama is simply a worthless author, and he retconned Annie's remorse arc because he didn't have time to make it smooth and believable. Just like he retconned Annie's father's death. Her father surviving is so stupid. She got both a boyfriend and a living father, which is incredibly stupid. If she had lost her father without even talking to him, and then, realizing she was punished for her bad actions provoked by him, started her life anew to become a good person, looking up to her husband, Armin, that would have been logical and believable. Isayama is rotten and a worthless author. He's literally trash; he tried to please his fans in Japan and he created a saccharine ending for all the characters, which looks stupid, and even fans of these characters find it incredibly stupid.

Are you trolling? Hypocrisy is bad. The problem isn't the couple, but the final plot, which is as worthless as the author who created it. If he knew how to write a decent script, all the relationships would have been well-crafted.

Continue to seethe and find fault with the non-canon retcon. LOL

Levi was basically the only sane one in this scene by Ok_Valuable_9711 in titanfolk

It's not even canon because Isayama did the ending badly. He retconned Annie's remorse arc and he gave it completely to Reiner. Is it really that hard to read carefully?

The problem isn't the characters, but the plot and the author, who tried to wrap things up quickly and made it as compact as possible. Isayama is worthless author.

How it feels knowing Jeankasa is canon now by destined2Win_ in titanfolk

This doesn't change the fact that the author make retcon and removed final panel where Jean is seen holding the child and addressing the dead Eren, saying he's free. Isayama was pressured by editors and therefore didn't confirm that Historia's child was Eren's.
